DRAIN PUMP very worn, or there’s something rattling round in it.

Power off if you’re doing this yourself.

Re: Zanussi IZ141 E52 error code

Earth leakage on the heating element can cause any number of spurious fault codes to be generated, as can leakage through the motor. An insulation tester and the correct knowledge to use it will be required to nail the problem.

    Re: Bosch Hydrosensor cycle times

Almost all run-time problems are caused by under-filling issues. Insufficient water will not pressurise the heater switch properly, thus extending the wash times.

Specifically, you need to check the transfer pipe in the front left hand corner of the machine, and ideally the chambers connected to the water matrix on the left hand side of the machine. All should be spotlessly clean.

Power off if you intend to deal with this yourself.

I suppose that, to be strictly fair, he may feel that he has achieved some degree of redemption with the Megger Affair. He has produced a simple, clear document covering the bases pretty well and members want and like it. Fair play to him.

Obviously, none of us know how his period as a mod ended, but I do recall that it wasn’t long after the business with the nordic troll. Takes a lot to get me mad, but he did it…

Anyway, it’s probably sheer paranoia about what’s in the Conundrum thread, really.

    I hope.

    Except when it’s a SMEG in a dress……..

SMEG door lock p/no is 814490538 if you don’t want to pay the BSH price for it.

Slightly awkward one – timer and pcb controlled machine. Does the drum rotate at all?

The brand owners (MFI) no longer exist. Spares supply has been taken on by AWServices or DAve on spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk. They may have a suitable user manual – a fee will be involved.

You can do a basic observation through the front lower access panel – anything more and it’ll have to come out.

Hmm – sounds somewhat opportunistic – he’s down Martin’s neck of the woods, so he might have some info in the morning.

Graham Dixon if you want to do it properly, of course.

That model is a Fagor-build; commonest reason for no-start is water in the tray under the machine operating the flood protection system.
