    Re: aristonA1436/ hotpoint31193

update…spoken to customer who even after my explination about the door seal drain groove which lines up with the “missing” bit, he is so convinced that i “levered” the old d/s off and snapped the tub he has “taken advice” and contacted hotpoint and apparently “others” with a view to sue me for damaging his machine…watch this space!

jim, thanks for the pic…re; door seal, when i ordered the door seal for an ariston A1436 i was given a seal which didnt fit, nothing like the original d/s. on the door label , where hotpoint put their label was .31194. quoted this number and got a seal which fitted exactly, only when you pull this seal from the tub do you see the cut out. 😀

you will need a test/multi-meter to test the internal element…these are well known as a failed element. 😉

Re: Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 Cycle Not Completing

it may stick either due to a blocked /failed pump…does it drain out? or a faulty heater. …does it heat? put it on spin rinse and see if it drains..if it does the pump is ok.

Re: Bosch Classix 1200 sticking during cyle

if it doesn’t drain at the end of the wash cycle then it may be that the drain filter is blocked or the drain pump is blocked or failed..does it empty the water out? can you hear the drain pump working, is the drain hose blocked, does it drain into the u-bend under the sink. no drain no progress. 😉

when it gets to the rinse cycle, open the soap drawer a little way and see where if there is COLD water comming into the drawer.

    Re: Indesit bearing removal

the only way to get the outer bearing race out is to try , with a sharp edged chisel and endevour to shift the race by hitting chisel with heavy hammer! if you are very very lucky you could work a slot in the race enogh to move the race…be very careful as if you miss the chisel or it slips fingers do suffer, if you haven’t got an edge in about 20mins or the race hasn’t moved give up..BE LUCKY. 😉 there are no spacers to worry about.
