james. first check main fuse box, and reset cooker fuse/rcd..if you have got one. switch cooker switch on, do you get any sign of life..switch the grill on..this will indicate that you have power to the appliance..then check clock/timer to see if it’s set to manual or timer cooking.if it’s set to timed cooking the oven won’t start, ie no fan no heat

re set clock..switch oven off at main cooker switch, wait about 30secs. switch cooker back on. clock display should flash 00.00. read cooker manual to see which buttons you need to press and then adjust time according to the manual.

put d/w on any programme, let it run for a minute or two until you can here it in wash action…this gives the main wash motor time to fill and pump the water around the d/w…then open the door slightly and see if the top arm is moving. this would indicate if the wash motor is strong enough.

buy a bosch…recommended by my wife…washer dryers are a moot point…a) you can only wash or dry…the dryers are not as efficient as separate washmachine and tumble dryer. is space a problem for two appliances? b) i’m sure you will get some more opinions from this fine web site but as it’s early and i have to go and fix things i’ll leave it with you for now

three men had been drifting on the ocean for days. then one reached over and picked up a bottle hoping for something good to drink. he opened the bottle and a genie appears…thank so much fot releasing me, i can grant you one wish! the men replied, besause they had heard a similar story before..hey don’t we get a wish each? sorry said genie, i’ve been in the bottle for 1000 years i’ve only got so little time. ok said one man, i wish the oceans were made of beer! whoooose, the sea water turned to beer and the genie disappeared. why did you ask for that wish asked his mates. well said the man i had to think quickly and that was the first thing in my head….you prat said one…now we will have to pee in the boat 😳 :rolls: :rolls: :rolls: 😳

    unplug….
top off…check wiring to pressure switch..its a round thing with either a plug into it or separate wires connected…it will also have a rubber pipe about half centimeter attached…this pipe goes towards the base of the w/d…if wiring looks ok detatch pipe and blow down it with some force as there may be a blockage from the tub which stops the incoming water displacing air up the pipe to activate the pressure switch. a long shot is to get the machine to fill and check that there is no water leaking from the pressure switch pipe, which of course will never displace enough air to activate the switch,
    😉
