have you taken the fan off? it’s held on by a nut which is left hand thread, if you haven’t removed do so and you should see three scews or bolt heads which hold the motor in place
    POWER OFF BEFORE YOU START

    Re: Zanussi Door lock problem

i don’t think that the welsh team are involved with this problem, they seem to have enough to worry about… :rolls:
however..i’ve had this clicking interlock fault recently and came to the conclussion that it is a failed timer..or broken/poor connection somewhere. checked wiring all seemed ok and as the customer was not prepared to pay for a timer i left it with him…not very conclusive i know but we can’t win them all.

squadman.. seems like the great.” let’s tinker with this bit” 😉 easy for the dopy public to understand and get a nice loud headline in the press. we’ll show them that we care about the envoironment! when i had a proper job i got a personal and confidential memo from the chief executive..quote..” even if it’s impossible it must be done!” perhaps this c/e has moved into politics. :rolls:

have you checked that the motor runs freely when you spin the shaft? when you took the silver tacho off was there a round brown “thing” on the shaft, the “thing”is the magnet which should be screwed in place at the end of the shaft?

un plug!! take lid off…press up and down on the tub and listen for ” dodgey” noise. look to see if there is anything loose. if not plug in select spin turn on, DO NOT TOUCH THE MACHINE WHILST IN OPERATION. listen to see if you can locate source of sound. if no untoward noise load machine select spin/rinse and listen again . i repeat DO NOT PUT YOUR HAND ANYWERE IN THE MACHINE UNTIL YOU HAVE UNPLUGGED.. if no wiser it may be the telescopic dampers which have failed.

Re: lost the transit bolt in the machine! 🙁

are you sure it was a BOLT? because if you have unscrewed a bolt successfully it wont be a metal bit inside the machine, its usually a plastic spacer which has dropped. to check for the missing bit UNPLUG the machine and tip it to one side, and with it against a wall or wife check underneath…see what you can find. regarding calgon …how hard is your water? ifeven if it is hard calgon my be a waste of money. there is info regarging care of w/ms in the ADVICE AND HELP SECTION in navigation menu and lots of other info on this site.

did you notice a round magnet which should be held around the shaft and held in place with a scew when you took the tacho off?

yes thats the tacho…might be worth popping the silver bit off and seeing if the circular bit underneath it has come loose, i have known the fixing screw to come loose, if it has screw it tight pop tacho back on and run a test. hope this helps.

Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?

call today…easy 🙂 fit customer aquired door seal!!! :rolls: he says it’s definately the right one cos i’ve checked :rolls: was it the right one….NO. would it fit NO…got bag it came in… no mention on the label of the model i was dealing with! upshot is customer asked me to get the right seal and come back and fit.
now, i don’t like to fit parts aquired by customers, there is a profit in parts and i have lost out…i could add a bit to the labour charge to make up this loss….what do you guys think/do when in a similar position?
