Re: Yet another Hotpoint Mistral Plus (frost free) temp prob

With the freezer at -21 open the fridge door for 20 seconds then shut it if the evaporator fan in freezer runs for a few seconds then stops you will need to replace the fan motor, dont be confused because if you take the fan out and run it on a bench it will work fine

    Hi DrDill
I have seen a maytag 3RMTW4905 rated at 7.5kg but the wholsaler assures me it was energy tested at 7.5 but is actually built and designed for 10.2kg. i am a bit unsure of this claim but the dimensions are the same as the old 10kg machine. Your views on this would be greatly appreciated.

Turn machine on but dont touch the program selector, turn the spin speed dial to spin speed and it will do just a spin.

I have now striped this machine down and am pulling my hair out, i have got 240v to the aquastop and the small overflow pipe disconnected and also the main inlet pipe to the tank, but all it does is still just hum. faulty aquastop i think so order another one and fit, but no all it does is just hum. i have taken all the pipes off and cleaned tested every microswitch but cannot get the thing to take in water. can anyone help as i am now overspent and fed up with it

    Re: neff S4132W0GB

i have now collected this appliance and brought back to workshop, with a definate water supply and the overflow pipe and fill hose disconnected from the tank all that happens is a loud hum. must be a faulty aquastop but its a lot of money to make sure

    Re: neff S4132W0GB

Thanks for your input martin. The microswitch only has 2 wires, the wires for the aquastop go to the overflow microswitch and to the wash motor, i have replaced the aquastop complete at a great cost but thought it was best that way, with both the inlet and overflow pipes removed from the tank still no water comes through just a hum. I have installed the aquastop vertical is that correct ?

    Re: neff S4132W0GB

could this be my problem then because as far as i can see the switch is open circuit until the water level is reached and then goes closed to start the timer or the other way round i cant remember. but there is only 2 wires to it in/out

the microswith on the metering tank is ok from what i can work out, when i activate it, it starts the timer advancing, is this correct.
