    Re: Gran’s Bosch washer

No reply received as yet. Any chance of a price incl. P&P?

Also, can you price up a pump as mine is leaking slightly!

    Thanks!

    Re: Gran’s Bosch washer

Right, it has arrived! It is a v696.

Was very impressed when moving it even though it was extreamly heavy but seemed to be very well built compared to other washers: stainless drum, cast iron weight, and SO quiet when spinning. However, door seal is stained and drum has some movement in it, so suspect bearings need changing soon. However it looks like the rear of the drum “unclips” so hopefully, replacement shouldn’t be too bad. What are your opinion of these fairly pre-historic olf Boschees??

However, some considerate t**t who was renting Gran’s house has snapped the door off, so I need a new hinge. Are they still available via here? Number on the hinge: 8000360 AB 6

Also, are the drying mechanisms on these any good. Both elements glow up when the “T2” setting is on.

Also, is there any chance of getting a handbook for it?

    Thanks again!

    Rob

It’s a V695 model. ONly had about 5 years hard work, used once a week othewise.

Is it worth recommissioning in your opinion??

    Re: Bosch WFL2260 bearings

bearings could go faulty prematurely, if the machine was installed incorrectly.

HOw would that happen may I ask?

    Re: Bosch WFL2260 bearings

The guy I bought it from said it was “hardly used” thanks to him moving out and storing the machine due a a divorce, so I was hoping to get a few more years out of it yet!

Why isn’t anyone recommending Bosch: has their quality gone to pot to?

    Re: Detergants

totally understand the “get what you pay for” comments, (let’s face it, the principle has been proved with washing machines on this forum many times).

However I have never had a problem with this product, but I am wary because of its low price and wanted to know if anyone here knew why it was so cheap in comparison to splashing out £5 on Daz

    Re: Replacement machine question

It’s OK Don, you are a star! thanks!! Are they prone to any particular faults such as drum bearings? also, how easy are they to work on? Are the infamous bearings a nightmare for example?

    Many thanks!

    Re: Replacement machine question

Found out! It is a WFL2260. Are they any good?? Are the built in Germany & are there any known weak spots?

    Many thanks again!
