r600a wrote Point of law though…

debt is a civil matter. BUT

You do this and you’ll end up with a criminal charge yourself..Its called harressment…Its ok for them to scruw you but you cant do it.And that is a CRIMINAL matter.

I think your going a litttle over the top there. Maybe it was my exaggerated phrase of hounding them to the gates of hell.
The point im making is if i’ve agreed a price for a job and the customer refuses to pay. Im not going to walk away and say ok. I will give the customer time to pay but I will remain in constant contact until there part of the transaction is complete.
I think they would have some front to not pay me and then press charges for harassment.

    Re: Why is it….

If I get a bad payer I just hound them to the gates of hell like one of those annoying customers we have been talking about.
Phone them up at night go round there every day if need be. It just turns into a matter of principle. Dont let em take the piss.
As for friends and family I think it just goes with the job. I call em
    (Jobs of love).

    Re: Indesit £74.95

All this is very strange because yesterday I phoned indesit for a repair to a dishwasher that was a complete B.E.R for me. There set fee was £ 105. Maybe the word FROM 74.95 is a little misleading.

    Re: ctd80 tripping issue now

If i was you I would check the heater wiring where it comes from the heater box into the cabinet.
Because I bet the extra tension from the new belt has started to force the drum to cut through the cabinet and occasionlly catching one of the wires .
look for a indentaion on the cabinet or a small burn on the wire.

Only jesting Lee……I know what you mean with people leaving crap all over the place. You can spend more time sorting there kitchen out than doing the job.
But on the other hand you get the really clean ones who spray bleach in your face as soon as you pull the machine out.
You just carn’t win sometimes. 😥
