Re: Connect accounts – check your credit limit!!

I Think this problem with credit limits is out of connects hands. No doubt connect themselves have had there credit limits cut.So they have had to do the same as its all insurence backed. So a perfect example of the meaning of credit crunch. This is one reason why so many big businesses up and down the country are going bump. There is just not the flow of Money (credit) there needs to be to run the company efficently. What is bad is connect dont even have the decency to tell you your limits been lowered.I think its time you had a rant at them. 😡

Ive had that happen in the past. But not for £125 door seal .The price of that is crazy.Did she order the seal or did you have to get it.I think some of the bosch ones at £40 are over the top.Was it a nice seal though. 😆

Re: More work than i can handle now!!

To be honest every year we go through these quirt spells. Its as if someone turned the phone off. I find myself ringing my own phone just to make sure its working. Then just when you think the bottom has fell out your running round like a looney for three months wishing there would be a little bit of a let up in the work.I think you can come up with all sorts of ideas why it goes quiet .Kids holidays ,machine prices etc etc but to be honest I think its just completley random. Its a funny old game 8)

Well said Martin. The beautiful south (paul heaton)included the line (I love the P R S cheques that you bring) in one of there most succesful songs.(SONG FOR WHOEVER) aka I love you from the bottom of my pencil case.Second verse first line.PRS raised 562 million in 2007. No bloody wonder he loves them he probaly got a extra cut to sing about them. 😮

I dont know about real bands and there record sales going up.But I do know the british recorded music industry generated 896million in 2008 while live gigs took 904 million. Now that is the first time in history for this to happen. So it seems to me if these artist and co want to earn some money they should get out there and get stuck in like the rest of us. As for the cheeky girls I got a result there. Two lesbiene girls moved in next door spitting image of the cheeky girls they got me a new Rolex watch.I think they misunderstood me when I said I WANNA WATCH 😆

    Re: Performing Rights Society

Thankyou squadman. But I feel as a consumer I do not have a choice because I will be paying indirectley to listen to music in every shop or public place I go into.As for the vast range of music im exposed too on the radio.I see this as free advertising for the artist and associates if I like it I go and buy it. Simple as that.As for the repair quote it was just in jest. 😆 But I think we shall have to agree to disagree on this one my friend. 😉

    Re: Performing Rights Society

My point is as you put it there are many INTERMIDIATE song writers and composers.Who I have to pay money too.Just to listen to there dross. Now correct me if im wrong but dont these artist get paid by the radio or tv station when there records are played.I just wish I got 1p for everytime a washing machine was turned on that I repaired. Its a bloody fiddle 😥

    Re: Performing Rights Society

Thanks penguin 😈 If I was you I would keep it at semi pro at at £ 7.37 😆 .Now dont get me wrong I just dont agree that I should pay to listen to music when I have no choice in the matter. It starts of at 1p for a can of beans but where will it all end if they keep putting there prices up.The cost of running the business goes through the roof so do are shopping bills. As for writing music or jingles people do it because they love doing it.Its like painting or other art forms you should not be guarenteed an income just because you worked at something.Im of to write a ditty on my mini piano I might make more at that than I did at football.

    Re: Performing Rights Society

So squadman you would not mind paying a extra 1p on your next purchase of beans at Tesco.Just so you can listen to the cheeky girls as you walk round.Because someone is going to pay for it in the end.As for your coment about writers not making enough money good ones make very good money bad ones dont. The same as footballers really. I played for ten years.Never made a penny. 😳
