    Thanks Dave,
Because I’m retired I no longer have an ASWO account. But I’m sure you’re right; someone somewhere will have one, hence posting it on here. Yes the white one is possibly available still according to someone else. I haven’t got an ENr to look it up.
It’s for my cousin. She’ll just have to have a white one if I can’t find the chrome one. Or carry on using the knife to open it!
Hope you guys are all keeping well.
    Regards
    Geoff

But if that’s too upsetting , you can turn it inside out and then it becomes one of these….

    Hi Ken,
I tried joining the Marketplace today and am getting the ‘code not valid message’. Perhaps it’s expired by now. Please can you send me another one.
    Thanks

    Re: CBS

I received a credit from BT on the bill following my phone call to them to complain about the directory charge. To be fair it was quick and straightforward and there was no argument, and there were no further unauthorised charges after the credit. But I never received a credit note or any paperwork about it, just a lower bill the next month. Now you’ve had the credit it’ll probably be back to normal.

Re: Whirlpool electric oven digital selector switch issue?

    HI,
I’m not familiar with this particular model but I think it’s unlikely to be the selector, and more likely to be a PCB. I don’t think this is really a diy job; it’d be better to find a reputable service company from here to call out and diagnose it properly.

It was these old Belling/Creda/Tricity cookers, and the customers that went with them, that made the job a pleasure.

Looks like a brilliant idea if they work. Like a lot of simple ideas, I’m surprised no-one thought of it years ago.

Unless you fix the cost sufficiently high to cover all that . Then of course you may not get the job….
    Boy am I glad I’ve more-or-less retired…..

    Re: CBS

    Hi Mark,
Check that you have made these call and that this isn’t a mistake by BT. In general it works well. I’ve been with them a few years now, but occasionally they get me confused with other CBS clients and you have to get Steve to sort it out or phone BT yourself. I once got signed up to a chargeable directory entry without requesting it, but BT sorted it out easily and credited me for the charge.
You don’t have to renew it; you stay with them automatically until you cancel.
    Best wishes,
    Geoff

This of course begs the question we’ve been discussing since time began, that if they can supply this information to the trade generally there, why can’t they do it here?

Weigh it in at your local scrap metal merchant. You’ll get about £4 for it, so will have made £2 profit. 😆
