Drilling the hole isnt an issue, but these guys are being asked to strip the tumble dryer down and remove all the lint…..Would you be happy having someone who has no understanding of these machines and has spent an hour learning how to use a multi-meter doing this to your tumble dryer?

If they are managing this amount above the normal repair calls what was the engineers doing before as I cannot see how they can magic up so many engineers when there are a shortage of engineers in the trade.

If there is a new fault on door switches and creates another recall
Then even a company the size of Whirlpool could disappear.

Maybe the washing line will make a comeback or an engineer may go on Dragons Den with a new design.

FACT………Majority of the work is now being done by people with no engineering skills. Who have had 2 days training in a classroom….

Make sure the conditioner reservoir is completely clean, including the cover which has a hollow tube, check that’s not blocked.

Click on the link and that should explain all you need to know

Don’t know how to get the test cycle on.
    Anyone got a service manual?

    TEST MODE

    Ensure door is closed
Switch off appliance using on/off button
    Select COTTON program
Whilst pressing START/PAUSE/CANCEL button, switch machine back on, keeping START/PAUSE/CANCEL depressed for a further 5 seconds and release.
When in service mode the START/PAUSE/CANCEL button light will flash.
Each time the START/PAUSE/CANCEL button is pressed it will advance the service program to the next stage as follows

    1 all symbols flashing
    2 motor rotates clockwise
    3 motor rotates counterclockwise
4 spin to half of max speed
    5 pre-wash inlet fill
    6 main-wash inlet fill
    7 conditioner inlet fill
8 heater on but only if correct water level reached
9 hot water inlet if applicable
    10 end of cycle
11 switch off appliance to exit test mode

To remove the lid, It has 2 hidden screws one on each side close to the front of the machine covered by a plastic cap, pop them off with a small flat blade screw driver..

I honestly can’t believe the amount of people moaning about the £3.99 charge for 30 days use of this app.Although I take my comment back if you’re only charging your customers £2 an hour to do a repair. If not then either pay for the App of shut the hell up…..
