I know this a very late reply….. but I did go back to this machine and put a set of brushes into it. All working fine since… Thanks for your help. Oh yes the flashes on the unit ? Just kept flashing.

All points taken… Seems to be very cloak and dagger in Eire between service agents. Not really into passing on info like our UK friends. All I can say is thanks to all for shared info and advice.

By the way I know this is the million pound question and I have some advertising done but just looking to see if I’m on the right track.. No substitute for good work and being recommended by your customers. Whats the next edge?

Re: New washing machine required for B&B type business

Cheers lads, I am trying my best to steer all my customers away from whirlpool. Local shop here does HP on whirlpool machines for years.. Gradually changing there minds!! Bosch sounds good. Don’t think money is an issue! So thanks for the info.

    Kind regards.

-0- is the symbol for the child lock. Not sure if this is on due to a fault or if by some reason it’s activated.

Go straight for the heater. Common fault on the Zanussi washer dryers with an E36. I’m betting it’s the dryer element that has the earth leak. Just disconnect this element and test the unit. Seems to happen to the dryer heater when the customer isn’t using the dryer that often you’ll see rust on the element but not always.

    Re: W/Pool AWG5122/S Poor spin

Are you sure the water is draining out fast enough? This has happened numerous times to me.
    1. check that the drain is ok
    2. check the sump, pump area…. and the damn Eco ball!!
Usually find that if the drain hose is connected up to the sink it might be a partial blockage at this point so it is draining but not fast enough so the spin cycle occurs with a small bit of water in the drum..?????
