    Re: old hoover logic A8534.

    Hi Tell

I worked for Hoover for many years, including the logic years. I seem to remember that the interlock you mention will fit all later logics. It was designed for the computer controlled logic (A3950), but comes with a wiring mod to fit non computer controlled ones. There is a note with it.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Shane

I’m not sure if its the same here in Scotland.
I will have to look into it. Does anyone know who we contact?
It may be another £30 down the drain but if we could get it back I’d be a lot happier.
What really p*** me is that they appear to get away with it.

    Re: Bosch WFL 2450

Reading through the threads, it was said the drum did not rotate, it also said it drained therfore the pump and drainage appear ok, the fault from what I read is with motor action.
Having said that I agree with Martin on his final point. If you need advice on how to take the motor out, you really should get in a qualified engineer.
It may save you money in the long run.

    Re: Bosch WFL 2450

As you have sugested earlier about the brushes being worn. Why not remove the motor and take out the brushes, apart from the obvious length of them the way to know if this is your cause of no motor action is to look at the point where the brushes come into contact with the armature. If one brush is shiny and the other dull, then the brushes do need replacing.

Hope this helps and as mentioned earlier

    Pull the plug out first.
