Re: Hotpoint BFI62 integrated dishwasher board initializatio

Thanks clyde. Customer has replaced Vanishing dishwasher with Smeg freestanding. Quite happy to have no plinth. as long as she does not have to wash up. BFI 62 is now in my garage. Module was blown and have connected heater wiring up to tricity cooker element in vice to test.. dishwasher now operates whilst keeping the garage warm! How much is a BFI 62 element by the way? Board must have come out of test mode whilst at customers house (two lights not seen).

Fitted board. No 2nd and third lights. started dishwasher, filled, pressure switch clicked, continued filling drain pump kicked in 2nd light from left flashing. read as thermistor element fault. checked element for insulation/ continuity o.k. spent ages checking everything. fitted old board different fault to new.

Have got job for installation of new neff dishwasher and deinstallation/disposal of 18 month old hotpoint.
Will not waste my time on one of these machines again. 😡

Re: Hotpoint integrated BFI62 board initialization

I will try the vanishing model initialization then. As per instructions it will tell me which it is when i power up the machine with the door closed. this is bit 100 led lights on panel 2&3; vanishing dishwasher, third last and second last led lights on. As the appliance has only 4 LEDs this is the same for both.
    Hmmm.

    Thanks anyway

Tried that banding kit. dripped and felt like you need a torque wrench to tighten it.

Re: Candy Autosense 120TR drain pump

No connection to i/lock. Overfill protection works though so pressure must be staying in hose unless fill rate exceeds airleak rate. Replaced hose anyway (possible kink where it clips onto drum after leaving pressure vessel)and waiting to hear from customer.

Re: Candy Autosense 120TR drain pump operating

Thanks anyway dave now not required. Fault is overfilling intermittently halfway up the door. No blocked pressure vessel or worn out pressure hose. strangely enough the overfill protection is kicking the drain pump in as the drum rotates(single pressure switch only). When i drained and refilled the machine i heard the pressure switch click as the machine stopped filling. all plugs on module secure and could not reproduce the fault after i told the customer on the phone to switch off and let me see it. Candy were out in 1st week for this rattling pump noise. they replaced pump. no different. any ideas? module or intermittent pressure switch?

    😕

Went to fit dryer fan motor on integrated ariston washer dryer. Cust rings back 2 weeks later to say water coming from under plinth. Pull plinth off and the floor is swimming in mucky water. Spend ages checking filter/hoses etc but cant trace leak. Her daughter goes upstairs. Next minute see water pouring onto floor.
Turns out kitchen fitter has done something with sink in between my visits and pulled sink waste out of soil stack.
    S****y job that one!

I use a black and decker KC9036 (orange and black)with the handle that collapses to fit behind those awkward spaces (2 years). also use a B&D flexidrive for doing those awkward doorseal clamp bands.

    Re: Philips 684 detergent dispenser

Found one at local suppliers in sealed bag that must have been in stock about 10 years (no part number). Looked the same but went to fit it and found the shoulders that house the flap door hinges were thicker so the seal did not mate with the door. Some careful trimming with a knife and profile reduced. fits perfectly.

    Many thanks
    Simon.
