Andy i have ordered this heater already but it looks like a old whirlpool heater whith the brown overheat device at the end. The faulty one just has the two tags on it. Is this correct?

It is a syphon. It will suck the water out once the compartment is filled from above. Blockage somewhere.

Ta Jim. You wouldnt happen to know where the wires Pink to heater and the blue to on off switch attach to terminals FST1 and FST2 on module do you. i suspect FST1 is the blue and powers lots of tracks on module whilst pink goes to FST2 only one connection to relay pin.

Make sure the ends of the brass coupler doesnt have sharp ridges. Had one cut through the washer on the inlet hose and flood the kitchen.

have neighbours had problem? had a whole street ring up for blown PCB’s.
voltage doubled somehow.S.
