Re: Temperature control not working? LG direct drive

Well thanks to being able to write my thoughts here it suddenly occurred to me to check the if the connector taps were inder the sink. They are – and the washing machine inlet pipe has been connected to the hot water supply. Well there you go – I can’t believe it’s been like that the past 3years!
I tried disconnecting the hose but couldn’t pull it towards the cold connector. Either it’s been jammed in place by the machine or its not long enough.

As I can’t move the machine I well get a handyman in to reconnect it for me. is it possible the inlet hose would require an extension to make it long enough? Or should it be long enough anyway. The machine is to the left of the kitchen sink.

Hmm, I was looking at another forum and found this surprising information…

“In my latest edition of Which? magazine, for reliability, Siemens came 1st @ 96{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, second was…Beko, yes, Beko @95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}” (dated 13/dec/08)

Just to add a bit of information – it would be a 50/50 split I am after as I actually will use and fill the freezer more than the fridge. It doesn’t have to be huge capacity overall as it is just for me.

This beko would probably be fine in capacity but I’ve know idea about that make.

or this beko (not frost free so less likely to go wrong?) http://www.reevoo.com/reviews/mpn/beko/cda538

This bosch ( a good make for f/fs like it is for other white goods?) would possibly be ok but I don’t need as much fridge space as it has

I’m not sure if the better makes will make the ideal size for me (in a price I can afford).

Hi, thanks for that. I have always kept in the kitchen, just not a very good machine I guess.

I shall start searching the internet for a new machine. 🙁

Re: Buying a second hand compact dishwasher

Thanks for the advice all. I managed to secure a used bosch from ebay for £80.

I have a couple of queries to do with connecting it up.

Currently I have a washing machine fitted under the sink with waste pipe&jubilee clip and hot and cold water supply connectors from the main pipes. So there are no possible tap/outlet things for the dishwasher pipes.

Can I get some parts which would give extra connection spaces for the dishwasher? (Although the waste pipe might be ok over the sink). Would you be able to give me the exact names of the parts so I know what I am looking for?

    cheers

    A question for the moderators:

Would it be ok to start a thread asking if anybody has a bosch compact that they are thinking of selling on? If so, would this be the best folder to start it in?
