    Re: Commercial Dishwashers

They should be at 7 minutes or so from the perpendiular as the water jet is what propels the arm to turn.

Impellor on pump could be missing blades, take circulation pump off check impellor and also have a look up the connected pipes, very often broken crockery, spoons will be in there, must be some sort of blockage.
Filter in base/sump needs to be checked, make sure it is clean, new landlords don’t usually have a clue about the daily maintenance required on these machines.

    Re: Clock Change

    Cheers Eddie,
Would you be against abandoning the clock change,if Scotland goes for full independance and choose a different time set up we might have to change our watches each time we cross the border, would be confusing if the customer lives one side the border and the engineer the other.
“You said you would be here at 9-00am and it’s 10-00am already” 😕

    Re: regas mistake

You could try disconnecting compressor, vac in reverse ie braze a pipe so you can pull through liquid/high pressure side with old larger compressor than origional saves worries with vac pump,if no luck then connect ofn (nitrogen) to low side and add pressure to help shift blockage, don’t go above 8bar or you may damage evaporator, half a days job,is it worth it?

    Re: collecting your call out

When you do travel any distance especially to a new customer it;s imperative they know the scale and terms of charges beforehand.
Plus,is it built in,easily accessible, usually try to establish this pre call,”nothing is free in this world” is my response to reqests for free call outs etc.

A really, really fat man got out of the shower at the health club. A second man said, “Crikey, you’re fat!”
    The fat man said, “Yes.”
The second man asked, “How long’s it been since you’ve seen your dick?”
The fat man answered, “Long time.”
The second man asked, “Why don’t you diet?”
The fat man asks, “Why? What colour is it now?”

    Hi here’s the other side:

Thanks for taking the trouble,I was interested to know what the problemmight be,can’t see any blown triacs etc, obviously my knowledge on this subject is slim to none, still like to learn even in my 65th year 🙂
Comes from a country area that is prone to voltage supply problems so don’t know if thats an issue.
    Cheers

    Re: Mains Capacitor

removed cap to read details on it.fits in the box opposite the square on the board where it fits has VDR3 printed in it (think I see the logic) the capacitor has VDE (think its an E) printed inside a triangle.
    Thanks for your interest.

Re: Thermostat doesn’t cut out automatically

If the fridge was running all the time and the rest of the system was OK you would have had stuff freezing.
    Switch off at plug.
I would remove fridge from the cupboard fittings.
Check underneath that the condenser coils are not blocked with fluff, there is also a small fan that pulls air underneath, clean everything undr there and try it again.
If still running constantly it’s time for an engineer or a shopping trip!

When I was checking for fault there was the 240v which went to one leg then there was no voltage anywhere else on the board.
