    Cheers,
It’s describes as a limite or cut out both on the list and on the part itself, it’s not a one shot toc type device it ‘s really a cut in as the cavity warms up it switches the cooling fan on which sits on top, the one supplied as replacement doesn’t switch the fan on until it gets much hotter than it did originally.
Didn’t see the original as a helpful friend had shorted it out so the fan was running constantly.
Seems to be the jobs when you follow someone else that are a pain!

    Re: What Made You Walk

Working for Lux a call to a vacuum cleaner and he said ” I think we have picked up some dog mess” about turned and left.
I’ve mentioned before on here the woman that shrieked”you are supposed to be the expert” when I asked on entry what was wrong with her microwave, she stormed up stairs and I exited left, totally mad.
That cooker from johnnymac11 😯 I was a part time fireman for 30 years and it looks like that one would burn fairly well.
We had a few cooker fires which were down to build up of grease, dirty pleeders!

Somewhere near Nottingham for me 🙂
Not bad as I’m level with Nottingham, although actually more in the countryside (polish is the second language around these parts) more like a carrot cruncher or muck spreader.

I had a microwave repair, went in and asked “what’s the problem with it?”
” You are the expert” she replied in fairly strained tones and then stormed upstairs.
Stood perplexed for a minute or so then picked up my tool bag and left.
    TOTALLY MAD !

It’s about the customers general hygiene standards.
Most of mine would attempt to clear or ask on the telephone call what they should do,90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} would clear it because they wouldn’t want that festering mush in the cooking area, some folks on the other hand hardly notice it.
I didn’t use my vac as it was too whiffy!
“can I get you a cup of tea?” err actually I’m ok thanks 🙂

Re: Caravanette and Motor Home Fridges ?

Saw this thread and thought 30 years of absorption work might help!
Unfortunately not, looks to me like a rotary compressor as there is a standard condenser, unlike the absorption ones.
The electrical device is likely to be some type of inverter combined perhaps with a switch over from 240 to 12 volt, .The reasons these compressors are used is for quiet starting and running as folks will be kipping a few feet.
Have seen a couple of similar one’s in marine/boat installations
Check the wattage on the motor label and using ohms work out the resistance.
Also you could disconnect the motor lead, check the compressor label for voltage and type, connect your meter, set correctly, switch on and check the voltage on your meter.
If you can put a picture of the terminal entries into the compressor up it would help.

An old cargo ship came in that was on its final run to the scrapyards in India.A real rust bucket literally falling apart.
Run by a Swedish company that specialised in taking a final low value cargo to pay for the trip.
Manned by a minimal crew the average age was 74, Captain and Chief Engineer in their mid eighties and the youngest member was 68
All were single or had no dependent family
Logic was that if the ship should get into trouble and sink the compensation payouts would be minimal ❗

Served my apprenticeship with Rustin & Hornsby as a fitter building marine diesels.
V 18 weighing in at 75 tons was the largest, with the head off and piston at the bottom of the stroke you could stand in the cylinder with both feet on the piston and shoulders were nearly level with the cylinder head (valves as big as trombones), what a beast!
A year at college first then a five year apprenticship with a weekly day release to college, sadly the end was nigh by the time I was 24ish, Arnold Wienstock and EE/GEC bought out Rustons and eventually roggered the company importing cheaper Cummings deisels so I jumped ship to Electrolux.

If I take the trouble to turn out smart and clean every day I don’t expect to be a flea infested dog kennel of a house/kitchen.
Find myself coming out of houses and checking if the stink has stuck, cos, you go to the next house with a dog and he likes the smell of you.
Dogs are working animals and most breeds are not suitable for pets, why would you have a Husky or St Bernard in our climate many other breeds fall into the same problem, like 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of four wheel drive that never go off road.
Why do folks have them when they are out all day at work? Problem is they have become like fashion items thanks to Crufts & Co.

Ha, ha I think I am more surprised that the engineer arrived at the front door smoking a fag than him poking it out on the dogs nose! 😆
I am talking late 1970’s,almost OK to smoke in someone else’s house then.
He went on to be an area manager by the way 😯 .

Must have ben bitten 7 or 8 times in 45 years, when working for Lux they would prosecute if you wanted but I never did. Although the expletives I used to the some of the owners might have got me in trouble in court.

I think Lux settled the vets bill, cracking laugh was had by all staff, still makes me smile!
I’m fairly tolerant with dogs it’s the stupid owners are the problem.
“He just wants to say hello” talking dog then? can’t even say sausages himself!

Re: 30 degree wash poor Samsung wd0804w8e

Depends what you are washing and the level of dirt/stains on the washing.
I personally advise customers to stick to sensible temperature washing, forget 30 degrees , if you want clean and hygienic washed clothes then wash synthetics at 40c.,whites and bedding at 60c.
Bacteria accumulated in clothes and cloths etc will be killed only by temperature and not by detergents although traditional powder is far more effective than liquids.
Also your machine if constantly used on 30 will eventually develop a pungent smell and possibly a dark stained door seal.
As for the claims of eco this and that its down to temperature and a decent powder for me,the rest is just sales stuff and gimmicks.
    My opinion only.
