Re: A Hunch On Smelly Washers

We have had a theory for years now, not only with the horrible smells you get but using lower wash temperatures and combination of using non bio or sensitive powders that there a connection with the amount of bacteria breeding in these machines causing an increase in Astma and other skin conditions in children. This is our opinion and have no scientific evidence, but surely it cant be healthy ❗

    Ken

Thank you very much for insurance company contact. As you were aware i was very pushed for time as it expired today.

Graham and Zoe from Smart & Cook really helpfull they spent late Thursday afternoon and Friday Morning comparing and trying to obtain quotes for me.

The quote was a bit more than my renewal but the clause with my exisiting insurer was i required an alarm system to be fitted by thier recommended contractors which would have cost me over £800 to install which for the amount of goods in the unit was OTT.
Being on trading estate hearing alarms go off all the time no one pays any notice.

So the cover I have now got is with axa and they dont require an approved alarm system so that has saved me that expense.
The building is like fortnocks the amount of padlocks and large roller shutterdoors to get through takes 10 mintes to open up in the morning.

As you mentioned Ken in your email I am the guinea pig.

Hopefully they will be able to negociate better rates in the future as more of us join we should be able to get a better discount. I did explain that the requirments are different for each member, But if they can put a package together that can be taylored to suites everyone in our trade then its a start.

It may be worth collecting some basic information from each member, if they want to give it about what cover they require, if it is liablilty only or both contents, buildings, stock in transit etc, at least then Graham can put something together.

Any way thanks again Ken, keep up the good work and sorry to have kept emailing you but I got there in the end. I will leave you in peace now atleast for a few days.

    Regards
    Steven

My engineer has said he had look inside the drum but i suppose things do hide.

He was there an hour and not once did the noise appear.

    Re: Scrap & Weee

I think John has gone through this before and he has mentioned to me that if you are carring machines on the van from customers to your workshop even if it is going to be scrap, and you are stopped with them on the van and you have no waste licence, you tell them its being transported for REPAIR to your workshop. How are they going to prove otherwise ❓

    Re: Soap Draw

I have no problem myself and probably the majority of us can do it, but we have sold quite a few to customers in there 80s /90s with difficulty with pressing down using arthrictic fingers.

They find the controls now a lot easier to select compared to their old ones as its electronic, but when i have demonstrated the machine and explaine how to remove the draw for cleaning purposes they find it awkward.
With pratice i am sure they will manage it.

We have a large population of OAP in this neck of the woods and we need to bear these things in mind for them too, equality and all that.

I just thought by mentioning this if any one else has come across it. 😳

I need some good jpeg photos of the ISE range for some promotional stuff. When you get time and if you now have them can you put them all on the site so we can make use of them?

flow metre or the diapram switch has sorted this, I am suspecting that the PCB hasnt been repaired properly, so will look to get a new one,
No fault codes coming up at all on this one, could not get to do a test cycle.
Thanks for all your help on this one, can anyone confirm the exact part number for this main pcb in the base.

    Thanks
