Over complicating the issue! I assume you have checked the motor brushes? This is the first place to look. If not the suspect faulty motor control module or timer?
On some older appliances blocked pressure chamber will affect no spin, usually this will cause overfilling as well?

Does the temperature still work correctly when set although being erratic does it over heat? Before fitting display, I take it elements checked for low insulation especially the base one can cause weird faults on the electronic stuff. Could be ribbon connections from main board?

Neff wont supply any tech!

Dave looking at the drawing with that model the side panels come off, its not the early type wrap round cabinet. So guessing once front off the belt can be attached from the side, I recall doing a capacitor on one ages ago apart from the usual 20 odd screws you should be able to access!

I have been offered money for my advice many times. On a evening spending time texting or email on how they can check and fix themselves. I always say I dont charge for this (at the moment;)) But there might be when I start to slow down on physical visits. However what I do say is just leave me a review if you have the time, this goes a long way on a genuine review. Think Dave your right its about doing the right thing and be honest and transparent as you can alright doesnt make you a rich man but at least I can sleep at night. Yes I save customers on average few jobs a week. (thats could have been £150 extra earnt wk Wow just done sums:eek: thats a mortgage payment) 😀 If I do visit and its been something stupid Im in the area I simply walk away, most run after you say i have to give you something chuck a £10/20. Ive been to some where they have been conned by online help or even someone gone out charged callout upfront never returned that charge they then have to pay me on top.

Customers unfortunatly dont learn, not sure what it is, times they are told they still fall for it! They think they are getting manufacure then independent shows up. Doesnt help with google search for repairs in your area and all the national ones comes up prentending to be local engineer. Also even with customers who do call you there is no loyalty at all they will phone 2 or 3 companies or engineers and dont care who turns up as long as its done yesterday, its a lottery for us. The way they could tell is your right we give free advice rather than pushy sales, this should be a something we could use on our adverts. how to spot a genuine reliable engineer.

Yes that seems to be a long time ago now! My first experience was sibson think the millers pub? Where it all began wasnt it? Drunken idea to set the seed for trade association for whitegoods trade. With only a handfull of engineers, generally there for a whinge and moan about our trade suppliers and no real support from manufactures which is still the same now but we set out to try and shake up the status quo and prove to some we could make change soon becaming something much more than even we thought we could acheive with over 60 members. As you said Lawrence punching way above our weight. Sibson then became too small a venue. Moving to Hilton coventry and then eventually to the BT conference centre, it was hard work organising these events with just a handfull of us. We are still here allbeit been very quiet since lock down which presented everyone with some tough decisions. Priorities had to be made to look after number one! The engineers meeting maybe the way to go back too. Back to our roots just a gathering to share stories and have a moan the way it was

Had beko which has the same design, absolutely stupid idea! So like Dave, I referred customer to Beko as the kitchen was so small had no room to swing a cat! When they came they pulled it apart when they refitted it was even worse than before door didn’t close properly. After 2 engineers, they wrote it off said they could not do any more, gave the customer back their money!

I use izettle found it reliable and convenient. The app is easy to use. I have a wifi dongle which I use if signal on 4g is weak on phone it is a different provider than my phone this gives me flexibilty when patchy. – Battery life is good I don’t use it that often – so amazed when I get it out plenty of life. I purchased the reader when it was on an offer. Turn around on payment is quick – there is also a cash function that you can record and send receipt ( this only logs details for your own records so no charges for this service as far as I know) – You can either send customer email or telephone receipt reference number assigned used is your own invoice number so you can easily check it off your and match statements. No need to spend loads on rental machines and per transaction charges if you only need to use it now and then. – Most of my customers pay by bacs straight from their phone. I accept cheques and now online banking allows you to take a photo and process you can cash it straight away, so there is no need to go the bank as often. Having the card reader is another means to collect monies quick and easily after job is completed.;)
