If I remember right this has 2 glass defrost heaters, one in the middle and one at the bottom in series with each other, there are 2 different sizes, whats the internal width of your freezer.

    Bryan

Internal width approx 15inches, heaters has one large one that sits just above drip tray and thin one wrapped around evaporator like samsung. It looks like they are in series could only trace one pair of cables.

    Are they easy to change

Yep have checked for open circuit and earth fault.

I know in the past repaired boards dont always work, have replaced them with new, then it seems to be ok, may have to do that with this one.
Trying to keep the cost down by repairing pcbs sometimes costs you more in the long run.

My first port of call was to the mains filter, then heater etc, when they tested out ok, started to disconnect everything one by one until I found that the board was the only thing still connected. 😕

How do we now repair built in or fixed appliances, have we got to go on the course and be part p registered.
By ‘fixed’ does this mean that anything wired direct to spur outlet is classed as fixed how do we know what we can or cannot work on it 😕 As we know most of our jobs these days involves this type of installation.

Had this model on test for a while now and at long last found out where it is leaking from.
On intensive wash about 55 minutes into program it leaks out passed the sump gasket, as though too much pressure is building up inside.
Has any one had or know why this would do it at this point in the program.

    Cheers
