I’ve been racking my mind. I saw one of these 2 years ago, i don’t think it was that exact model but it definitely had four suspension legs and the valves were at bottom of the machine. I thought it was the bw51 but on electrue that has the same tub as the wd range. On my one it was a heater change which was the normal wd/wm element. i’ll keep thinking.

Have you checked the insulation of the heater ? Try taking wires off valves ? Other than that it must been the main board.

Check the main module behind the rear panel at the bottom. The connectors overheat and melt. If no joy check the door lock.

just a thought, had a few where the timer knob slips on the shaft (when timer is turned the wrong way), it then makes you think the timer is out when actually it just the knob. There is also a start relay board which should de-energise when the door is opened, this fault may of been there before you visited.

I had no error code on this model when the brushes had worn. machine counted through cycle as normal. It still could be the motor or the motor harness. I’ve had a few wires break near the ty-wrap just above motor. also check connections on the motor itself, sometimes one of the terminals disengages on the motor block.
