Motor disconnected on a WF hotpoint, means door locks but nothing else. Poor bugger needs to get on this site we would have helped him out.
    He’s trying his best. 😯

    And he looks the part.

i sold a couple of hoover oph614’s and i was suprised by the lack of depth for a 6 kg machine.

The OPH614’s are 54cm deep so you can imagine how small this new slim depth range are.

Sold a handful of the equivalent Hoover machines. No issues yet.

Seems a neat little machine, the dimensions are great for those tight kitchens.

p.s. I sold a 7kg version in that shell of machine, I too was a bit concerned about it falling over. 🙂

Is this the full metal door type dryer, I think it is.

Did you take the filter out and look inside the door itself. Had loads of these with extended drying times due to this.

Blimey Graham I feel sorry for you. At least you did the job right which is the main thing I suppose.

There is alot on this site about the ‘right to cancel’, it would be worth a read.

As for the invoice, I have just had a new batch printed, I was advised that you only legally have to have your limited details on Letter heads not invoices.

On my invoices I have my name, address & VAT no.

(Just out of being nosey, what was the fault and how much did you charge?)

    Tim.

Well you could buy my business if you want it…

Thanks for the offer but I shall decline.
You employ staff which is something I really wouldn’t want to get involved
with. I take my hat off to you because I know how time consuming it is looking after myself let alone others.

(Plus you’ve just bought that unit, so if thats in the business I don’t think I
would have the ready cash.) 😉

Re: Is this job worth it ??

What would we all do if we didn’t do this job?
I moan about customers just as much as the next person, the grass is always greener!
But is it any better anywhere else?

I qualified as an Avionics engineer in 1994 and shortly after left to take over my Dads business. 16 years on I’m still here doing it. Looking back my moans are no different now as they were then.

I occasionally bump into old colleagues & their moans are still the same as well. (Shift work, 4 day weeks, Loss of contracts, Loss of overtime.)

The hours & thought I put into this job are crazy. But deep down I secretly still love working for myself & having to ‘fight’ to bring home the cash.

Oh well back to waiting for the phone to ring, there it goes, just as my dinners ready. Without fail!

    Board!

Do check that water hasn’t been dripping onto pump, this is the normal cause of your fault. 😉

Anyone had one of these timers fail and cause a ‘no heat’ fault?

    Yes, numerous times.
