ParticipantNever in my life have I needed to disagree with a proffesional poster, but having worrked as an agent for Liebherr for 25 years TRS does not know what they ae talking about, regarding this Liebherr unit.

ParticipantI do know that both the fridge and freezer defrost water on most CND 5204 units, exit into the same water discharge container before going into the water evaporation tray which is actually the cabinet base. The container is situated between the right hand side of the compressor and to the left of the fan and held in place by one screw, once emoved the drain discharge valves can be seen, they may or may not be the same for each section, depending on model./ year
These black rubber drain valves prevent air entering into the different sections via the drain pipes.
Get Liebherr to send the Engineer back out and get him to remove the rear panel and carry out more intensive checks.

ParticipantEither of the two possible faults would need a refrigeration engineer to diagnose.
Tony R
ParticipantThe prodution date on the 25A was 9.5.2016 to 28.2.2017 so even at the latest date it is 8 years old, but the same fault suspected remains the same as before.

ParticipantI have checked out the very last versions of the SWTnes 2900 made by Liebherr on UK versions 001 and 147 index’s, and the last 001 version 21A was made in 2008 and the 147 version 20F was 2007, so they are a lot older than 5 years.
Tony R
ParticipantThe issue is either compressor not pumping but running or it has lost some of its gas charge, despite what you can hear circulating, the service number or serial number would help me advise you on its exact production date.
July 30, 2025 at 2:48 pm in reply to: Liebherr freezer temperature rises up occasionally so the alarm is beeping. #462310Tony R
ParticipantHi,
If you have a layer of frost and or ice across the rear back panel, your unit has become iced up on the cooling coil behind that rear panel.
This could be due to the drain becoming blocked or the door was left slightly ajar, 2mm ajar and the door alarm will not sound but the fan will run and drag warm moist air into the freezer and cause excess icing also.
Empty the unit and turn it off for 2 or 3 days ( even this may not be long enough depending on how thick the ice is ) or callout an Engineer to clear the ice for you, generally 3/4 to an hours work, again depending on the amount and thickness of ice, call Liebherr and they will put you in touch with an authorized Engineer in your area.

ParticipantYou could ask the Engineer if he can fit a small air circulation fan, like a small computer fan in the compressor area and wire to run with the compressor, this will give you some air movement behind the unit, it is possible as I have done it myself in the past.
March 21, 2025 at 10:17 am in reply to: Kenwood KNF60X19 Freezer door bottom left corner leaking through hole on the door #492433Tony R
ParticipantNot a Kenwood expert, but that looks like the drain in the freezer is blocked and that is causing the defrost water to overflow into the freezer, which is then freezing on the interior floor. If you are not able to remove panels to acess the hole to clear the ice behind it you can turn it off for at least 3-4 days to let it melt on its own.
Tony R
ParticipantThen you have replaced the evaporator sensor, the original one would of had a green making near the sensor end, the air sensor is marked red and is located in the bracket which you would have had to replace to fit the new evaporator sensor as the original evaporator sensor is foamed in. sounds like you have replaced the wrong sensor.
Tony R
ParticipantSorry, but you need to be precise on what you did, you said you were advised to replae the fridge AIR sensor but then said you replaced the EVAPORATOR sensor, can you clarify which one you changed, there are 4 sensors on this unit 2 in each compartment.
The fridge AIR will turn the compressor off and switch the solenoid valve to freezer only operation, the compressor may continue to run if the freezer is not at cut off temperature, if it is the compressor will stop.
Too cold in the fridge is either AIR sensor faulty or solenoid valve not switching.Tony R
ParticipantYour second post, reference temperature readings, indicate the unit is running normally, the rear wall of the fridge will freeze over and once at tempertaure it will go through an off cyle defrost, the temperature as monitored in the freezer and is read by the sensor at the warmest place ensuring the freezer reaches a safe temperature at that place which means other areas can be much colder.
The circulation fan in the fridge coming on is dependant on three conditions, temperature at sensor, compressor and cooling to fridge on and door shut.
Again you will get low temperatures in the fridge prior to cutting out, its to maintain an average temperature of your setting, average = cut out and cut in temp.September 23, 2024 at 12:58 pm in reply to: Miele K 8652 SD fridge, deadish, give up or investigate? #461765Tony R
ParticipantThe PCB is still available ( 6133698 ) try the spares dept on here.
Tony R
ParticipantOrder direct from Liebherr, call them on 0333 014 7888 they have limited stock of this item in the UK at present.
Tony R
ParticipantNick, your unit should be a TP 1760 on an Index 22E-001 the sensor part number for your F2 error is a 9590160.
