Hi Simon, can you supply the full model number as you have left out the 4 numbers after KTPes.
    Regards Tony.

Sounds like the winter mode switch is in the on position, locate it and turn it off, so the interior lamp then goes off completely.
On some units it is a small toggle switch located on the thermostat/light housing.

    Hi Dietmar,
As posted the kit comes with 2 cradles only one will be used depending on connection of power plug and design, the new mould, mould caps and sensor are all in the kit 9590151.There are changes to the kit from the original so the new cradle and supplied parts must be fitted, the only parts you use from your old ice maker is the power board and drive motor with lever, these parts DO NOT NEED TO BE BOUGHT.
The picture in parts section does show all parts supplied in the kit.
The price is as it is, at this time you cannot just fit a new sensor, the new kit needs to fitted, if issues arise in the future then you can buy separate parts.
    Regards,
    Tony.

    Hi Dietmar,
You will need to order a 9590151, this will be 2 cradles one of which will only be needed ( depending on power plug connection ) and a new mould with sensor attached.
This kit does not include the drive motor or PCB, which will need to be removed from the original cradle, for use in the new cradle.

Hi Pete, The drain valve is located at the rear above the drip tray, it is black in colour and looks like a teat from a babys bottle.
It has slits in it that open as the weight of water builds up in the drain. they can become sticky and prevent the water from flowing away. But as you have stated the water does run away, I would recommend fitting a new freezer evap sensor and replacing your pcb for the latest one.

I would advise you to have the freezer evaporator sensor replaced and a new PCB fitted.
Beware the unit marked 86c is a thermal saftey device, if this trips at it’s rated temperature it will be destroyed, and need replacing.
I would also check that the defrost water exits down the drain hole and that the drain valve is not malfunctioning.

Re: Upright freezer showing red warning light

It would appear you have a problem with the auto defrost in the freezer, hence the over icing then lack of airflow causing warning light to come on. Could be as simple as the drain blocking with ice or heater, sensor, timer or saftey device failed.

Hi, I would suggest you unplug all the power supply connections to the defrost heater and overheat protection stat in the freezer section.
There may be an earth short on the heater, which only becomes active once stat reaches temperature and makes a circuit to heater.

Re: Replaced evaporator sensor but still icing up

Hi, r600a is on the right track here with insulation failure, the pipe work from the freezer runs up to the fridge in this area, when the insulation breaks down ice can form in the drain channel and sometimes on the wall behind the right hand salad drawer, unless someone is prepared to cut ou the foam and lag the pipes and replace the foam insulation no repair possible.

Re: Replacing evaporator sensor – Miele KFN12923ed

Hi George, you will need to lift up and gently pull out the evaporator unit, on the rear left hand side the edge will be sealed with a strip of tape, cut this with a knife and a lug will become visible bend this out and the panel containing the foam insulation will come apart.
A foam wedge in the coil will need to be removed and the sensor can then be pulled out.
Remove the 7mm bolts on the condensor at the rear on the right hand side as you are looking at it, carefully remove the putty and pull the old sensor out the back and ensure you keep to replace later the foam seal in the hole.
The old sensor can then be cut and with the quick on connections the new sensor can be cut to the same length as the old one cut off, connected as reassembled in reverse order.
Above all ensure the POWER IS OFF and the Quick on as instructions is outside of the unit.
    Regards,
    Tony.

Re: liebherr CL 1650 ice maker not making ice

I suspect your issue could be the sensor, which is the thin wires you can see attached to the bottom of the ice mould.
The sensor will start the harvest at around -10c.
To check the mould is not damaged activate the ice maker in it’s service mode.
    1 remove ice drawer
2 turn off the ice maker ( light off )
3 press and hold on/off button until light flashes rapidly release button
4 the unit will enter the harvest mode by moving the arm down and then twisting the ice mould, the made ice should then eject, the mould returns to it’s normal position and the water valve opens to refill the mould.
5 replace the ice drawer and the light will stop flashing and remain on
if all this happens, sensor fault.

Re: Water pooling at bottom of Liebherr 7082 fridge compartm

I agree it is not practical for the customer to dismantle to check the drain hole, but as it has one it is possible for this or the pipe to block.
