    thats the usual suspect tbh

Thanks for that. I am waiting Masterpart to get back to me with the part number and then I will dismantle as you mentioned above to have a closer look.
    Alan.

ps. Masterpart say the part number is CAN40003258. Is that correct?

    Re: The Fault Code Guide

I have just been reading about this forthcoming android release, and I must say it comes as good news to me.

I have an android phone (Samsung S2) that I take with me on jobs. Often I need to look up a fault code and find when I view “UK Whitegoods fault code guide 2011 free.pdf” through Mantano Reader Premium I get a big black bar right through the middle of the page. This obliterates information I want to read.
I am pretty sure it’s the “UK Whitegoods” watermark that’s causing this. Anyone any comments as to how to get around this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Alan.

Re: What sort of inspection lighting do you use

Thanks to you all for bothering to comment. I thought long and hard about this and have finally decided to go for a
Petzl PIXA 1 ATEX Headlamp/Torch. Ordered one through Amazon Marketplace for £26.99 with free delivery.

This review on Amazon also helped make up my mind
“I’ve used head lamps before but never found the right one for close up electrical work. The Petzl PIXA 1 has changed all that. The LED and diffuser provide a uniform light which is perfect for close up work. The head strap is comfortable and the robust build and positive switch means you can store the lamp in your tool bag without accidentely switching the lamp on or damaging the lens. Its a must have for Electricians or any other trades that finds themselves needing hands free, close up work in bad lighting conditions”.

Masterpart recognise 1605335 but not the new C00144134

    Unless you live in Worcester.
The numbers on homes in one Worcestershire street appear to defy logic and have been described as an “accident of history”.

    Just an update.

Customer back from holiday and I fit the new 1701821 door catch silver, but it doesn’t work. Must be needing a upgraded door pecker (male). This did not come in the pack as Jim thought.

Has anyone the correct part number for this please?

    Best regards,

Do you ever come accross a Dave Sharples in that neck of the wood, Alan?

I managed to get to the bottom of why the link URL wouldn’t work. It was my firewall software at fault.

As to Dave Sharples I can’t say I have come accross that name in the Fylde area.
