I’m pretty sure it feeds the selector switch/stat which would stop the arrow coming on if it is open circuit. You can bypass the switch to check
it will just mean the fan and element stay on if you open the door
the same as most ovens do

It might just be the door switch – you dont have to take the whole oven out to get to it just slide it forward and undo screws either side of the control panel slide the panel out and the switch is in the middle – i have done several of these. It switches off the fan and element when the door is opened

    Hope this helps 😀

I had this recently and it was a blocked level system (the air chamber full of gunge .
The appliance wont spin until pressure switch has disengaged and the appliance “thinks” it is still full of water
    Hope this helps

My money is on the fan element shorting -the grill is linked to the fan element and a small damp reading would trip a sensitive elcb.
I had the problem recently and a new fan element cured it.

    Not easily
Take front off appliance -unclip front panel to outer drum
take off back panel -take off pulley wheel and draw inner drum out of outer drum
unscrew old paddle -screw in new one and reverse the process
    Hope this helps

Had 2 dishwashers -different houses same fitters -who fitted low worktops
exact height of the dishwashers with the feet wound right in and then thick tiled floor upto the kickplate.one customer had the floor dug up, all the worktops raised, floor retiled under dishwasher (and washing m/c and fridge ) all at her own expense (fitters had gone bust-surprise surprise)
the other one is just waiting until her w/m goes wrong and going without the dishwasher.

Had this before and it was the control module -no visible damage to board
and if you get one from bsh they won’t take it back if not needed
Icannot see anything else it could be as the motor is fed by the control module -resetting should switch off the motor
also I had a couple where the module was permanently feeding the outlet
pump without the anti flood activated.
All these calls were just after thunder storms!

there are 2 valves at the bottom of the side chamber /inlet valve
one of them is not fully closing
the appliance takes in a 2nd load of water during the wash to heat the new lot of cold water by the hot water inside. if the valve doesn’t fully close the new water goes into the machine instead of staying in the side chamber causing the flood. usually taking the valves and pistons out and cleaning scale off them does the trick.

Re: siemens dishwasher top spray arm not turning

my money(if I had any) would be on low water level
its the most common problem I get on bosch machines
the pipe from the side chamber to the sump will be blocked
The pipe it at roughly 7 o’clock as you look in and gets full of gunge(technical talk) making the level switch advance the programme without enough water to feed both spray arms
    hope this helps

Silly point possibly but i had one of these and the problem was the “emergency” door release cable -located by the filter- had got moved when the customer had checked her filter and because it wasn’t in position she was having to shove the door hard-twice to make it work
    Hope this helps

The holes in the top of the soap drawer casing get blocked -the easiest way to clear them i find is to use a large tie wrap (cable tie) or a piece of earth sleeving and push the blockage out or the back of the casing -I get loads of these and this usually works -allegedly it is because people dont do hot enough washes these days but i don’t see it on most others makes!
    Hope this helps

Add 20 to the first 2 digits for the year the 2nd two digits = month -the 83 becomes 03 the 06 =june (it was easier before the turn of the century )

at the end of the fred plastic actuator is a microswitch -is this stuck in the made position ?? moving the rod(actuator up and down should switch the pump on/off .there is also a red float in the chamber beside the switch -is this stuck in the top of the chamber. If all this is correct then it will be the control unit as I have had this a couple of times.

Re: Bosch Exxcel 12 place dishwasher programme failure

Either the heater has gone open circuit or more likely the pipe between the side chamber and the sump or the level chamber is blocked so that it runs without enough water in -level switch is made early because of the blockage and without enough water it won’t heat properly
    hope this helps

If the door has locked the first thing it is going to do is call for water -Hot first on any programme 40degrees or above -has the valve gone -you can usually hear a slight hum but no water going in or the most common reason I get is someone has turned off the tap.
