I simply want to ask one or two questions in public! The way the answers are given will either cement my opinion or correct me so ‘Happy Days’ either way!
I’m Welsh so I don’t get to get out of the Valley much, so any excuse for a weekend away with the misses justifies the fuel a 8)
Besides, I don’t know if I’m allowed to go yet… No reply has been received from my online registration!

I also notice it’s the end of Sept and no change to the website as per agreement between DASA Chairman & PG of 0800Repair (According to the DASA Meeting minutes anyway)

I disagree.
1… I absolutely HATE green (Even though I have an interview for the Territorial Army on Wednesday) Go figure?!
2… I think the site should be uniform in colour. WTA colours throughout.
Maybe I’m just tooooooooo fussy on image? 8)

The green has to go! I can get J to do that in the CSS if you want, but the site is sexy and awesome, bar the green!

Ok…
FACT: A friend of mine (A good friend I might add) has received a number of calls from JTM that include 0800Repair Cash calls in my area (CF) from Monday this week.
He made a phone call, had a 10minute conversation, followed by an email to which he had to reply to, then without further probing or assessment, the jobs started flowing within a few days.
He has not been CRB Checked, nor is he a TA Member :rolls:
Dear DASA… I think if 0800 Repair are telling you that the cash calls are attended by CRB Checked engineers and DASA Members… You’re having the wool pulled over your eyes. Fact!
Dear DASA… If you’re aware that 0800 Repair (One of your members) advertise such, but don’t deliver such, and you allow their membership to continue… Sad! As if you found an ‘Indie’ advertising falsely, you’d be down on them like a ton of bricks. But hey, maybe that’s just down to the fact that an ‘indie’ doesn’t have a wallet the size of 0800Repair?
Just my thoughts!

In the past couple of months, I’ve been quite surprised how many people actually email me from my site (FindMyEngineer.co.uk) even though no results were displayed in their area. It seems some people are prepared to wait a bit and get a good repairer as opposed to rush of and get anyone. In a minority maybe, but they are there 🙂

Jeez George… Put the whiskey down and calm down 🙂 Is your listing correct in basic form?
If so, happy days as the WTA site is being developed as we speak! So there might be bugs or discrepancies etc but we’ll deal with them when the site in general works properly 🙂
We’ll get back to you regarding members being able to edit their own stuff, but for now, what you get hasn’t cost the TA a penny! It’s being done by WTA Team Members and being done for free and in our own time… So it can’t be bad even though it’s basic info that’s displayed?!
It will be more refined, but give us a chance a?!
