Nowt to do with me Alex! He left my place looking like a tired Mr Reilly!

Is there anything I should know about RC and new work? Various comments in the general forum kinda indicate there is something in the pipeline? Am I missing something?

Yeah defo Alex, if they are RC agents, then happy days! My only point above is that we run the danger of crossing the line between concerned agents, to a self motivated MOB by some of the comments made if you get me? As for accsess, people would have to contact Ken for permission rights, if he knew they were bonafide RC agents, granted, if not, he could post here and we suss them? Just an idea?

I do defo think a room LOCKED titled ‘Repaircare agents only’ or sumit like that MIGHT get a few people to speak up as it’s private, AND it might ‘Rattle’ cages!

    Re: Repaircare…

Okay, had another visit from Mark today, he came solo which was a suprise after speaking to Gary the other day, but anyways…

    1. Repaircare are ignorant to the words on UKW because only a ‘Handful’ of agents have resigned, so their not worried.

    2. The comments made about posters here (UKW) were shunted over to ‘Joke’ level as the ‘Known’ posters are ‘Apparently’ gobby, but fall over themselves to do the work when visited or spoken to via telephone, no names were mentioned, exept one, which I won’t repeat, but as a Dr, I’d think he were in the wrong trade ;).

    3. ‘Apparently’, Repaircare have lost 50 heads since Feb 2010, and have reduced call center hours to swallow some of the cost (I know they suddenly closed on a Sunday, so who knows)!

    4. I was asked today “Would I stay with them if DSG were out of the equation”, my reply was yes, so was that a ‘Just curious’ question, or do they know more?!

    5. THEY ARE WORRIED! Mark has aged 5yrs in the past 6 Months! BUT, What we need now is for Ted, Whirl4 & Rudolf to STFU with BLATANT Repaircare bullying / abuse in the DSG thread (As they aint even agents as far as I’m aware) and encourage MORE Repaircare agents to come forward and be vocal! How? F**k knows, but the current DSG thread, in Repaircare’s opinion is a bit of a joke was the feeling and impression I got today.

That’s it generally, I have the honour of another visit next week, so untill then, it’s still up in the air, but can I suggest:

A new thread, title VISIBLE to the public, but content RESTRICTED to participants, so……… We could have a topic headed: Ex Repaircare Agents or something similar, but restrict acsess, that gives genuine EX or about to be EX Repaircare agents a room to chit chat, AND raise awareness & interest from other people given the ‘Closed Forum’ status… It’ll at least generate curiosity?!

    Re: WTA website update

Started this, feel free to comment, amend etc over the next few days before I publish it on the WTA site:

    WTA September meeting update.

Our meeting was held at the Hilton Hotel, Coventry on Friday 24th September. We would like to thank all 122 attendees that included engineer members, spares suppliers and work providers for taking time out to attend our meeting.

The meeting has been hailed as a success, so the WTA would also like to thank all that were involved in the organisation and donations involved in bringing this meeting together.

There were some very interesting presentations that included vehicle tracking systems, trade direction talks, contract rate talks, WTA updates and a very much welcomed talk by DASA Vice Chairman Steve Debeger.

The WTA were pleased to announce an extra discount from spares supplier Qualtex, for WTA members, as well as extended order time cut off, which we know will benefit our members.

All in all, the day was a busy and active day, and we now look forward to preparing for our next meeting on Friday 25th February at the same venue.

    Re: Repaircare…

I THANK you Alex for saying something, I wanted to, but given I’ve just issued notice, I felt it inappropriate!

    I’ve replied tho 😀

“”””I share the same thoughts, and they are part of the reason I’ve given notice to terminate.

If Mr Harrison can walk past me in a corridor, look at me and keep walking, without at least a ‘Hello’, that showed me the lack of respect Repaircare has for our efforts TRYING to make the DSG rates work.

I’m one of a handfull of RC agents that were there, to my knowledge, Bernard didn’t speak to one of us! And can I say, left promptly when the rate cut issue was brought up at the front.

Very disappointed, very de-moralised by that and very sad that the opportunity wasn’t grabbed with both hands to at least TALK to YOUR agents!””””

He really f**king annoyed me! He literally walked past me with Depper, heads down! Shame!

3 Years tomorrow since Kens first post here! Quantum leap back to that night, at the Millers, when Lawrence stood up and said “Guys, is there another way”?…

Only 3 years young, and we’re already making an impact on the trade… Give it another 3… WOW!

I’m proud to be involved… I can’t stop thinking about what can be! If the WTA was a female, I’d propose! 😆

Anyways, well done lads on our 3rd Birthday… Just well done!

Ted wrote:It was said earlier this week that DSG was moving away from Connect

If that was true, and DSG went elsewhere tomorrow, I’d withdraw my termination notice without a second thought!

DSG are making Repaircare un workable (In the most cases anyway). How Repaircare allow this is beyond me, as I know for FACT, that I’m not the first, and definately am not the last to admit reality and quit.

The knock on from this is that manufacturers unrelated to DSG take the hit too, as when an agent resigns, they loose a trained & experienced firm, that although will get replaced, will not get replaced by the same standard of service! Again, I don’t know how Repaircare allow that!

After giving my notice, I spent quite a few hours ‘Re-Structuring’, planning the survival road! And whilst doing that, it dawned on me, that although the costs of doing the DSG work are obvious, it’s the hidden costs I now put in to the equation. For instance, for every DSG customer that has thrown abuse at us because parts are on backorder, that’s another chargeable customer gone for the future, as when they need a repairer outside warranty, they just remember me as the firm that took 3 weeks to get a part for the dishwasher! So by doing the DSG work, it actually costs MORE than the obvious!

I’ve completed over 14,000 repairs for Repaircare, to see Repaircare allowing agents to struggle, suffer & accept that more agents will quit, without comment or any active input into trade negotiations is a sad day IMO. Bernard Harrison had prime time last Friday to speak to agents, but chose to leave without even saying ‘Hello’ to me, that summed up Repaircare’s interest in Independent repairers issues as far as I was concerned, and killed my interest regarding taking risks to try stick with Repaircare DSG work.

Although please bare in mind, there are still changes to be made, but you can get the jist of how it’s going…

    http://www.testingsandbox.co.uk/

You have to use a CF postcode BTW to progress, when done, if any other postcode is entered, you get taken to a page saying basically, out of area, UKWhitegoods link to Repairs@
