    Re: Admin

Definately! It would be much better to go to the OFT next time, and be able to anounce that we have an employee that as part of their job description, will be WTA member COP monitoring!

Besides which, for where we want the WTA to go, eventually, there is going to be toooooo much for us all to do in our ‘Spare time’. Meaning things will take lots longer as we all have work, wives, kids etc that take up most of our time! So ultimately, an employee would be an asset IMO to the WTA 🙂

If you have someone in mind, it might be an idea for that person to be with us in August? They can get a thourough insight to the COP aproval process and get some insight into what’s required after aproval? And if you haven’t got anyone in mind, advertise, like now 😆

Also, regarding applications / member admin, that does need IMO someone to deal with internally, altough I know we set tasks etc for different people, that side of it needs a ‘Dedicated’ Administrator.

Back to the COP, it would be good to be able to take ‘Mr / Mrs X’ to the OFT next meeting and say………….. Mr OFT, this is our monitoring bod! If you get me?!

    Re: RepairCare Rate reduction issues

I’ve been told ‘OFF THE RECORD’ by a RC employee, the cuts have been passed 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} to the engineers. RC still make the same as they did last Month, we lose out.

I was also told, that some Management members of RC are worried that the powers to be at CDSL are leading RC down the road of Expert Appliance Care (Which I know little of, bar they did any work for any fee that failed) and have ‘Mooted’ a worry for the future!

This person also indicated, that it was an insult to us engineers, that higher members of CDSL park Ferarri’s etc outside the main door, when we attend for meetings / training. As if it’s a ‘Rub it in your face’ kinda thing!

I was at a complete shock to recieve this type of info from a RC employee that sat at my desk today, maybe testing my ‘Gob’? I don’t know, but that’s what I was told! As for testing my ‘Gob’, I hope this forum is secret, or I’m in the shit! Lol

    Re: Admin

It is a good idea as a person working for the WTA can like you say, do all the tasks that only get done when people have spare time. An employed person for registration process is a must IMO and will defo be needed at some point so why not! And, would be good to have a name to go with the contact number / address 🙂

    Re: sept 2010 meeting

I meant guests as in members 🙂 Not as in suits 🙂

It’s almost mid July! We blink, and September will be a week away! Not much going on in the public forums regarding the meeting, I might be tooooooo keen, but would LOVE this one to be a MASSIVE deal, so kinda think some ‘Hype’ in the public forum needed?!

    Re: D&G now!

Heard from a suit somewhere, that ServiceForce have been leaning on D&G for All or Most of their network repairs (Even outside the Electrolux group work)…

Even if true, still doesn’t explain burning bridges with long associated companies, again a simple Tier re-structue would have been enough?!

Not a lot being advertised in the forums about the meeting… Are we guaranteed guests hense the quietness or has it been forgotten about?

Might I suggest, someone kick the meeting thread alive?

    Lee,

There is 1x large meeting in September, come along, it’s in Coventry, so that’s near enough for everyone (Mid UK), details can be seen in the appropriate thread, but seriously, come along!

A man that makes a ‘Good’ living out of doing calls for £30, WITHOUT fiddling parts or getting Diesil from a Farmer half price is a man we ALL need to meet! You obviously know something we’re all missing!

    Re: D&G now!

Surely if, D&G wanted to re-structure their network, they would have just ‘Shuffled’ Tiers, then advised agents etc etc and leave it to the agents affected to either accept or decline?!

I can’t understand why a Reputable company, would want to ‘Out of the Blue’ burn bridges with many agents that have given them years of graft!

I have a funny feeling, this wont be the only suprise from D&G that occurs over the next 6 Months or so, I think this is the start of something!

But, me is always looking on the dark side now a! 🙂

And can I also say, that D&G not replying to agents, I think is diabolical! Am suprised their doors in Wimbledon are not darkened with severely affected agents!

Re: Domestic and General cutting agents

Lee8… Maybe start another thread for your opinions on why things are happening or how to improve this trade? My costs are rising, not decreasing, and I am sure that every other Self Employed person will confirm that they are in my boat regarding costs. I’m not going in to detail here, as this is, sadly, a thread for D&G Agents that are or might be affected by cuts, so lets have a ‘Costs’ thread somewhere else and leave this one to the people actually worried by and / or want to talk about the D&G news?!

I thought it might be from the RC Forum, as mine was addressed to Beech Appliances Ltd, but Lawrence has one too 😕

I only advertise Gooooooogle Adwords, so wouldn’t have got my details from YP or Thompson or any other! Wonder where they getting mailing lists from? Maybe here? UKW site? So long as Company info is shown on profile that is?
