Just spoke to a Regional Manager @ RC to ask the question and I must say that it’s been confirmed to me as nothing but a rumour. No truth in it whatsoever.
If anyone doing the DSG Work via RC is worried or concerned about possible repercussions of such a move, I’d recommend making the same phone call.

Now it’s in the public forum, maybe someone can ask the question on the RC Forum?
It can’t be kept a secret for too long as if Currys are to get the infrastruture to handle those volumes, big things need to be done, people need to be approached etc, in turn… Out it comes.
For me, it’s definately 1 engineers work, probably 2 if I couldn’t replace a portion of the DSG stuff that I still do 🙁
I really do feel for larger agents that do higher volumes, as do I for those sole traders that RC DSG work is a high percentacge of their income. What’s really going to f**k people off about this, is MANY have worked to the reduced rates etc and not spoken out in fear of being chopped, only to lose it 12 Months later anyway.
Tis a messed up trade this 8)

It seems there are agents using the 0800Repair advertising to their advantage 🙂 If true… Good on you!
Based on a conversation I had today, It seems that some JTM / 0800Repair Agents (Not Franchisees) are quite happy to recieve ‘Chargeable’ calls as they get their foot through the consumers door. Whilst providing a good service, they get the opportunity to leave their contact numbers for future reference! After all, would a consumer ring Mr ‘X’ directly for future issues (That they have met personally and have been satisfied with previous repairs), or would they go back to 0800Repair knowing it’s fixed cost and non negotiable?!
After todays conversation, I can see 0800Repair customers as ‘One-Shot’. In other words, you get the first repair, after that, they’ll ring the engineer direct 🙂

Seriously Martin?????? If you were building a ‘Brand’ and this photo was discovered, regardless of the cause, would you just say ‘Heyho, sh1t happens’? Because as an employer, I would see that as Gross Misconduct and I’d follow my rights through as an employer to either severely reprimand him, or sack him. Then I’d give a public statement with a MASSIVE apology.

That photo will be indexed on Google Images if it’s appeared on Facebook & UKW and / Any other site. As I read it, it was not an ‘Indirect’ request to remove, it was George relaying a message he had received directly?

I’m in Glasgow on Friday 20th Jan because those pair of pricks from The Park have a court appearance.
I have to be there as a ‘Witness’…? Not that I saw much, but heyho! 8)
Anyways… I won’t be staying at The Park on the Thursday night, nor will be available for a meet on the Friday due to my appointment with the court, but if you lot want to arrange for the Thursday night & Friday night at the Fenwick… We could have a few jars 🙂
Other than that, I aint going to Scotland 2x in one month!

I spoke to (Can’t remember her name now, but it’s on email somewhere) a while back kinda pleading to let us continue as we thought we’d progressed from ‘Pre Application’ and she insisted that no new official applications will be considered until the future of the CCAS is decided. She did confirm that every COP that has ‘Already’ been officially submitted for approval will continue through the CCAS Accreditation system. They are just not accepting new ‘Official’ Applications 🙁
