Thanks Kaibart for that. The heater checked fine with megger and to be certain I tried running the machine with the heater out of circuit and the motor also. Im convinced it’s a software corruption on the module, but sadly my me loader is set back in 2011. I would seriously LOVE to be able to update it, but no idea how to go about it. 🙁

Absolutely dead as dead can be in West Yorkshire. I have been looking at getting a regular job to simply pay the bills. I also do work in television and film as a sound recordist and been offered a months work for a flat rate of £1800 so I might have to take that option.

Last one I did was a belt only fit but I have always fitted the full kit in the past.

Found a way to improve the fitting on the vented ones. Work the belt onto both pullies as far as you can before the need to stretch, set as far back on the motor pulley as possible (towards the motor) and attach a couple of small cable ties around and through the larger pulley (with it been a spoked pulley). This holds the small belt to the pulley and gives you more chance to work the belt on while concentrating on it not running off the motor pulley. Still a bit of a tricky job but it takes about 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the stress away. Then it’s just a case of snipping off the cable ties, releasing the motor tension spring and fitting the drum belt back. The next stage is refitting the spring which is where the safety gloves would come in.

Just to let those who viewed this topic know, I fitted the NTC sensor on the duct which connects to the door seal and it’s sorted out the problem.
Regards,
Rob.

Hiya, thanks I have removed the condenser (should have said before) and cleaned it out really well so there isn’t any trace of lint in it what so ever. The two ntc sensor wires are both ok, I have even cleaned the probe with an abrasive cloth as it was a bit crusty with scale. One thing I did find though, I read the diagnostics for the machine and it displayed E73 – Faulty NTC in the duct at the top so I have one on order in hope that it will cure it …

Sorry, I may have put the wrong model there for the indesit machine, however the good working module is identical and is the type with heat sink for 3 phase motor.

My thoughts, if times are quiet the last thing I would want to do is expand my business. It’s hard enough scraping a living together for myself at the moment without having to worry about paying staff or keeping a stock of expensive whitegoods with shop rent and rates to pay. Even if stock is on account, it only takes a few quiet months before the creditors demand their payment. I believe in the theory – The bigger you are, the harder you fall.

Yep, That’s concluded my thoughts. The price of poor quality cheap appliances has certainly ruined the trade. As as above, the quality of work is really poor too. This week I have managed to scrape a minimal living together to cover the bills but it’s been very difficult and I have had to cover some mileage to achieve it. Not really sold any appliances although quoted for many. I dread to think how the independent retailers are feeling with the likes of AO etc. Something needs to give soon. I’m currently trying to become a television sound recordist but that’s a very difficult industry to get into, even for voluntary unpaid work to gain experience 🙁
