Have you noticed, the customer is always watching over you when you break them????? I don’t know how to get the b****y things off either. I can effect many technical repairs, but those plastic clip things have me beat!

this machine doesn’t have a display on the front, so it’s not giving an error code.. Perhaps a door interlock problem… might have to investigate towards lock..

I would imagine its the same as IAR SILTAL, which would be the same as a CDA CI992. Or Baumatic intergrated machine.

    Re: cda cw492 7 flashes

Is a flow meter problem for sure, I have a contract with CDA for their U/G work and have found myself fitting many pressure switches for simular faults. I had one the other day with a not emptying fault code, but it was emptying ok, changed the pressure switch and it’s now fine. These things also blog up with cr*p and grease etc. causing faults.
The switch is located R/H of the sump next to the NTC and has a locking clip on it, release the locking clip and turn it 1/4 turn and pull it out, take care not to get the connector wet as this will upset the module. It might not be this but I would check it if water inlet and valve are ok and drain hose isn’t causing syphoning.

If it’s the machine i’m thinking of, I’ve had a few where the decalsifier unit (water box) on the L/H side have been at fault from new. I only know this as we as a company have a contract with a chain of care homes and have to cover the gurantee ourselvs (ME) with these appliances. THE SAME FAULT!!! Its an expencive gamble though… think its about £40 to us..

    Re: AAAAAaaaaarrrrgggghhh!!!!!!!Zanussi door seal.

First, remove the door, then insert a OTTER type TOC (which is really usefull for testing fridge stats etc by shorting circuit) with it’s outer case on, at around 9pm between the weight and the gasket. This will hold the spring to the seal and the rest is plain sailing. The same is for the washer dryer, a little harder. remove the dryer manifold at the top and fit it to the seal first, then fit the rest of the gasket. I allow 45 mins max for washer dryers, any longer I feel dissapointed in myself and behind schedule.

On whirlpool w/m’s the motor comes in almost straight away, Im not sure what the F8 code is, but I would check the carbon brushes, I have had the same fault with whirlpool autos several times.
