I usualy charge £25 inc vat plus parts for freestanding an £35 inc vat plus parts for built in but it can vary, ie. bearing jobs or Neff built in dishwasher heater unit/motor etc.

Send some over to me please aqualectric… 😉 I too love intergrated machines, you can charge more for repairing built in too! I advertise myself as a built in specialist, I have repaired built in stuff for about 15 years or so now, and like you say, a repair is usualy always cheeper than a replacement. Even bearing jobs have a chance!

Re: aeg dishwasher leak into base

Up to press I have done two of these aeg dishwashers which spill out of the clear breather tube on the regen unit. I was stumped and reluctant to order up a new plastic regen chamber, but when I did it solved the problem on both occasions. I tried everything, pressure switch, sump hose to regen pipe was clear. I was a nice easy job to do if I remember, but you will need to wear your goggles and swimming trunks 😉

Thank you very much for that kiddo66 & aqualectric.
I went back to it today, as you said, blown link in the switch first contacts on the r/h side. Was very hard to spot too! I had to take the switch off and turn it upside down before I could see it. I cut into the wiring and linked it togeather with a butt connector, works a treat!
    Thanks again!

I did have a good look at the selector switch, I even scratched the points with my neon terminal driver to freshen them up, but to no avail. The selector switch was my first thought really along with the stat of course.
Just wish I had one in my pocket though so I could rule it out…

Had a bit of a play. I cleaned out the float chamber on it and the float. The water container light is lit but only dim. Heat doesnt feel as good as it should either, possibly running on low heat…?
