    wm52 etc with fhp motor that said I’m still using a zanussi fl1084 god knows how old only fitted bearings brushes and module

    no it wont FEEL siezed but will most proberbly be cured with a clean and grease. takes me back a bit used to do hundreds.

    I agree there bosch might seem to be the exception that can cause problems but I find a rag with a little WD40 to clean the com usually results in no problems

    you can set it on partfinder set up ,display gda numbers, all my stock bins still have them so I find it easier

    what motor has it got? you should just be able to change the carbons easily two screws a piece different motors different carbons sole ceset etc. as for com stick…….everyone has their own idea ….as for me I just blow out the dust and give the com a wipe. as the deposit on the com is carbon and the brushes are carbon I see no advantage if the com is mechanically damaged motor is bu####ed.
    I must have fitted thousands over the last thirty years and see no reason to change my ways now.

    on the diplomat fans I’ve had to change I’ve used a standard creda fans (mtr8001) and spaced it out with three penny washers per screw no problems reported.
