dilute washing up liquid(I mix and keep it in a garden spray) on the seal flange and tub flange fit the boot onto the tub then wedge the spring in place at seven oclock with folded cardboard and work it round untill it snaps into place

shouldnt realy say but a squirt with a freezer spray will reset the little bu**ers (done it with my own.) IN THE INTEREST OF SAFETY ALWAYS FIT A NEW PAIR peace of mind is worth a lot
had one the other day where the blower fon was blocked with torn newspaper looked like a mouse might have got in during the summer when the dryer wasnt used only found it because of the vibration

is motor definatly ok? all meters ok? cb not sticking? tacho generating? wriggled leads no breaks at plug blocks? meter from board end check magnet not slipping on shaft if I were you I think I would try another motor first even if you find it is a board you will find use for the spare motor sooner than a spare board

if you have removed the fascia check that you have all the leads on ok especially the two far right ( heater p sw ) I had a customer done his own brg change and had just this fault took ages to find especially as manual appears to change colour from one end of wire to the other

ps this fool had gained access to the back pulley with a hammer and chisel!!!!!! had to fit a plate over the hole

    good luck
