Deltra, had one of these with same type of fault recently. Turned out to be gunge in the pump chamber. Remove the left side panel ( there are some screws hidden behind the console aswell as those on the back and underneath). Clean the chamber & float switch assembly, job’s a goodun !

This machine still causing problems. Actually ended up fitting a new pump, also found a coin in the sump hose & seemed ok for a couple of weeks. Now it’s up to it’s old tricks again. Basically it aborts the program and advances to the end of the program at the beginning of the rinses, leaving the machine full of water. It’ll never do it when I’m there and I’ve checked pump/ hoses/ pressure switch resetting/inlet valves on every visit & they’re always OK. It must be finding a fault and aborting but this model has no display or leds to indicate a code.
Any pointers greatly appretiated ‘cos this one’s driving me nuts !

    Thanks, Wizard.

Check the outlet from the pump, sometimes get 5p stuck in the pipe acting like a valve. Sometimes open, sometimes shut.

Anybody ? I’ve been back to it and managed to re-code to 26 but I still need to know if it’s right for this model.

Re: Taking on another engineer/ VAT registration

Thanks Lawrence, I’ll have a look at the downloads. I did have a rough work out and it looked like 4 completed calls a day would cover costs but you’re right I need to do it properly. I think the VAT registration is inevitable cos I’ve been getting closer and closer to the theshold for the last 3 or 4 years and this year is a bit too close for comfort, plus it’s unlikely to rise much in the budget again this year.
Won’t be able to make Coventry as the missus is working and I’ll be on sprog duty.
Thanks again for your input, Wizard.

Re: Taking on another engineer/ VAT registration

Thanks Martin, you’ve highlighted all the points I’ve been concerned about. I was intending to vat register first and see how much the work drops off before employing someone else. The paperwork side doesn’t worry me as the in-laws do book-keeping and have already offered their help/ use of relevant accounts software, but I am concerned about the vatman’s claws in my ass once I have registered !

Anyone else got any comments ??

Re: Neff S5453X1GB/50 Dishwasher not pumping out

Dave, normally ‘no empty’ on these is due to pump being jammed by a foreign object ie broken glass/ bits of plastic/bone, or a blockage in the outlet hose where it goes into the side chamber on left hand side. Remember the pump won’t pump anything if you haven’t replaced the cover in the sump ! Also check for blockages in the side chamber (normally fat). If all else fails the pump is twist off, easy access through the front . Wizard

1600429 is for washing machines, 1600670 is for washer/dryers.
