Before you do that, just check the top spray arm feed is properly clicked into place behind the bottom spray arm. Had one recently that was loose with this symptom. Wiz

Mark, not something I’ve come across on these, but I’d be checking insulation resistance of heater & motor. Wiz

Jamie, had the same fault with a Daewoo built Siemens a while back. That one had a capacitor on the pcb that had a domed top close to the fuse. Meggered everything from the pcb connectors, no faults, so fitted board and crossed fingers! Haven’t been back to it. Wiz

Most lilely something wrapped around the pump, easiest to take it out and look at it as its not easy to see when it is in the machine. I’ve had butcher’s string, dental floss, elastic bands around them. Wiz

In case anybody gets this fault, meggered all components from pcb connections – no faults. Fitted new pcb & all’s well (so far). Wiz

Probably child locked, the key symbol on these is child lock, not door lock. Plus that machine is only just a year old from the fd number ! Wiz

You may also want to check that the hot & cold hoses are the correct way around on the back of the machine. If there’s only one then it needs to be fitted to the cold, not hot. Wiz

I think you might find that that’s a child lock, not door lock light. Can’t remember how you reset on those. It’s different to the washing machines, on those you just hold the start button down. If you do a search on here I’m sure someone’s had that before. Check that model no. too, I think it’s wvd, not wdv.Wiz

It will leak from the side tank so have a towel at the ready. Empty all water from the sump too. Unhook the door cords and unclip the two multi plugs from the base on the motor side before you turn it over. Easiest way to do it if you’ve got enough room. Wiz

Thanks, might give that a go. Already wasted about 4 hours trying various things, getting tempted to use the really big hammer on it !

Thanks, don’t have the equipment required to do that and don’t do enough of these piles of crap to warrant the expense. I’m thinking that the pressure switch may by faulty & not returning to empty. Is there a set up procedure for a new switch other than the previously mentioned one ?

If it’s on auto dry then it will stop if you’ve got nothing in it, otherwise intermittent valve or dryer relay (on the little relay pcb that attaches to the back of the control pcb). Wiz

Yep, also had a couple with sticking relay over the years, often intermittent. Wiz

    Re: Bosch motor brushes

Subs, done quite a few of these lately. Yes the usual brushes do fit but are a bit long, generally have to file about 3mm off the end so that the springs sit on the ends properly. Also give the areas where you’re going to solder them a bit of a scratch up before you try to solder and use an iron with a reasonable sized tip (over 2mm), you’ll struggle to get it hot enough with a small one.
