The only thing it does different at that part of the cycle is to energize both inlet valves for fabric conditioner dispensing. Just a thought. Wiz

Faulty circulation motor most likely. Wiz

Turned out to be the 3d sensor as suspected.

Hmm, hoped it wouldn’t be that. Have you had any problem with these boards Martin? Doesn’t look like there’s much that can be replaced on it without changing the pcb complete & don’t think the customer is likely to go for that.

Probably a tc71 which is c00205872 but double check against model no. on machine.

    Re: Hotpoint 8496A Fridge freezer

Toni, this is an early mistral plus if I’m right. That fault is normally caused by lack of airflow from freezer to fridge. First see if the freezer fan is working by opening fridge door & operating light switch by hand- fan will only run when fridge door closed. If it doesn’t (and assuming the switch operates the light correctly) then most likely to be the evaporator sensor faulty. If it does run then probably just ice build up in freezer- empty the lot & switch off for 48 hrs. Wiz

It should be attached to the basket, not the feed pipe at the back of the machine.

Dave, I think you’ll find it’s the same procedure but it’s a different button to usual. Sorry don’t have access to Bosch info but remember doing one a while back. Don’t remember which button it was but a bit of trial & error sorted it. Wiz

Don’t need to take base off. Top cover does come off the pcb with a bit of wiggling. Remove mains plug from back of machine, disconnect and slide pcb out. It’s a bit fiddly first time but you will now be able to swap motors. Much easier job then their predecessors. Wiz
