Well, right the timer is a mechanical device which opens and closes switches all the time. However in time when it wears off the switches sometimes do not close properly, it depends on where the program is since at a place where many switches should be closed the pressure is higher and the whole system bends a little bit from the pressure etc.

It is not easy to explain really but it works 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} due to the fact that the machine doesnt get flooded and it washes clothes good πŸ™‚ However I feel that it doesnt turn the drum everytime it is suppose to. This is especially a little problem in rinse since I realized that it sometimes do not cycle at one or two of the three rinse cycles.

    Hello everybody…

The machine in question is still working in perfect order but the program timer is not working 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} correctly. But it has been used almost everyday since the change of the drum bearings and it has no extra noises etc. while turning the drum.

I know that previously people were against getting a new timer for a machine which the drum was failing but the drum seems to be working fine now so is there anybody who knows if it is possible to find a new timer? I can provide an address in UK to ship it to etc. I think the finding it is the difficult part.

From what I figure out the timer model numbers are below:

    CROUZET 2000/2008-3163
    Original Code -> 92745272

The pictures of the timer are available at:
    http://master.titol.fi/~yurtesen/CIMG0705.JPG

    http://master.titol.fi/~yurtesen/CIMG0709.JPG
    http://master.titol.fi/~yurtesen/CIMG0710.JPG

The timer is still functioning 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} efficiently but it would be nice to have a spare at hand before it fails completely πŸ™‚

    Thanks,
    Evren

Well, the machine works fine so far. I just came by to see anything new is going on at this thread. I probably will come back after 6-12 months and let you all know if it still works or the bearings got broken again as some have predicted. Interesting waiting time πŸ™‚

I thought the U bend was for better mixing of the washing powder while entering the machine. However Martin’s explanation sounds perfectly reasonable but one thing. There is already a straight hole on the top of the drum which is connected directly to outside from behind the drum. So if I was hot air, I would try that hole instead of going to the closed dispenser chamber. πŸ™‚

The pump works all the time at drying cycle.

The reason that water is taken in on a trickle is to cool the clothing in the drum as well as the drum itself. The problem is that you get a “cascade” effect of heat in the tub when there is no reduction in temperature and the cool water increases the condesate effect within the condensate chamber.

Right, water is taken into the machine all the time at drying cycle. Because it should cool down the air and catch the moisture while going through the condensation chamber then go out with the moisture. However this doesnt explain why the Y splitter is there. I doubt it would have any cooling effect since the water is merely dripping down.

So, in the end, Martin’s explanation is the most sound and logical one. πŸ™‚

The vent goes to the dispenser but the water should not flow in that direction as it acts only as an air break.

I still couldnt figure out why there would be such connection. After the inlet, the pipe is connected to a Y shaped connector and one pipe goes to dispenser and the other to the condensation chamber.

The thing is that one pipe is connected to the top of the dispenser and the other is connected to the bottom and water falls from top to bottom and then goes to the water pump direct(to the front hole of the water pump). Perhaps they wanted to cool down the dispenser? But the pipe going to the dispenser is smaller so most of the water is going to condensation chamber.

Anyhow, I was just wondering about it. I never thought that inside the washing machine would be so much exciting stuff πŸ™‚

    Thanks again,

Thanks for everybodies’ suggestions on this topic.
I have received the right size seal and installed it.

After few washes, nothing is leaking and everything seem to be working in perfect order.

How can one know if the belt is too loose or too tight?

I have realized that when the machine is drying the water goes in and gets divided to 2 places. Some goes to the condenser and some goes to washing powder box then directly to the water pump. Obviously the water in condenser is taking off the water vapour from the air passing by but what is the purpose of the water going to washing powder box?

    Thanks

I have received the oil seal but it is little bit different size than the original.

    The original has
    30 53/60 10/13
The one I received from Dave is
    30 52/60 11/15

So it is loose when fitted to back plate. The drum side is little bit bigger also but thats not a big problem I guess. So what are the suggestions now?

Did you try to watch the machine and see what it is doing right before the lights start blinking? If it is taking in water, or removing water or heating etc.

I dont think it does matter as long as it arrives in 1 piece and in less than 10 years time πŸ™‚

If the heater was damaged, wouldnt it make a full wash when the temperature is set to 0 ?

I hardly think that this can be blokage in the pump since you can set to spin program and (if) all the water is going out nicely.

Do the lights flash continuously or they flash lets say 6 times and stop and then start flashing again? There might be something about this in the manual maybe?

Great news, but I am still missing one part. The part which will go over the shaft seal :p But it will come tomorrow or friday.

Thanks for everything. I hope to submit success next week about putting the machine back into 1 piece again πŸ™‚

can it be that something is stuck and thats why the belt went off at first place?
is the fan difficult to turn ? or the engine of the fan is turning slow even when the belt is not attached..?

I will soon get the part to fix the problem with the shaft seal. Rather costy, but not as much as a new drum. Costs 16euro.

Updates are yet to come. Stay tuned.
