In part you have to admire the tenacity and the ability to display more front than a row of shops. However misguided that might be.
I have no call to deride the guy or any of his friends, alter egos or whatever as it serves me no purpose.
What I do want to be understood, in no uncertain terms, is that people that pretend to be something that they are not or misrepresent themselves to myself or the engineers at large will get no change from me or any of the mods or WTA people and, no mercy if the intent is to deceive or mislead.
As demonstrated, with no more than a modicum of effort you can uncover an awful lot about a business or an individual these days, fairly easily.
That might seem a little harsh but, we’ve all seen the results of people being screwed over or, we’ve been one of the victims of a scam. I see no call to allow others to be duped and lose money.
Cases in point, GoLocal, Servicenet, MAAC (maybe)…. I’m sure that there have been a number of others in the time UKW has been around and while UKW may not have saved the day every time or prevented any loss, I’d be willing to bet it has limited it as much as is reasonably possible.
In large part, you can thank the people mentioned above for that as well as many of the UKW members in general, but especially a small group of them. You know, that small vocal group that quiz everything and everybody. The very same in fact that usually get derided for doing the very same as was the case here in this very thread. It’s almost a certainty that at some point in any thread like this, it’ll be me being a bully, me being a {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}^{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}&{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} or whatever or the small group that will pop their heads above the parapet that get the finger pointed at them as the bad guys.
Problem is, they aren’t the bad guys at all. Not even close.
I would thank them all once again for their perseverance, often restraint and patience in dealing with this and all the others of a similar nature.
I would point out though and, this is a really, really important point; these people that have contributed, badgered and questioned have nothing whatsoever to gain bar hassle. They don’t get paid to do this in any way whatsoever and have absolutely no vested interest either way.
That fact tells you a lot if you ponder it a little and consider the effort demonstrated.

The offer was made to any reader, UK Whitegoods staff included.

Presenting facts and postulating on what’s gone on isn’t leading anyone anywhere, it does what it says on the tin and people can choose to decide for themselves but, at least it’s an informed decision and not one based on lies and rhetoric from you or any of the other voices in your head.
By the way, I assume I’m talking to Adrian Welke given that there is no evidence of any other employees and no budget to pay for them. So far as I can tell John Cohen is a fictional character invented by the same Mr Welke.
Therefore it would be reasonable to assume that thus far, not a scrap of what’s been said is true as it has all been perpetrated on a fiction.
Now, what were you saying about being offensive?

There isn’t a “resident lawyer” and what do I need one for anyway?
To bring libel I would have to publish something that was untrue and, I have not. As for the speculation, well, we have this little principal of free speech, you might have heard of it…
Some nutter threatening legal action though to pursue a libel case that…
a. Any action is not and could not be justified.
b. The aggravator has no funding to cover the cost of the pursuit.
…is hardly a worry.
If you pop down your local Legal Aid solicitor they will explain to you that you can’t get Legal Aid for something like this as well and, I doubt the no-win-no-fee brigade would touch it either, even they’ve got more sense.

The person/people using the account “NationalAppCare” tells lies IMO and the evidence strongly appears to support that view.
The person/people using the account “jamieparrie” tells lies IMO and the evidence strongly appears to support that view.
It is quite probable, some may even say for sure, that these two accounts are being shared by one person. That person is in all probability the owner of NAC, Adrian Welke.
IMO, this company is a scam intended to lever money out the repairers though nefarious means and the ranting drivel is merely an attempt to promote the scam.
That pretty much covers it really.
