One would have thought that if he had any real faith in his product he would have been in direct contact rather than a hamfisted attempt to spam this thread. :rolls:
I am absolutely certain that if Mr Reason offered to bring his machine along to the meeting he would be made very welcome indeed. 🙂
We gave a warm welcome to the inventor of the Titan machine when he brought it along to the meeting in Manchester two years ago, sadly that also had several major design flaws and appears to be dead in the water. 😥

I’m sure he will thrilled at the opportunity.:D

I’m staying open minded as to the likelihood of there being any major design flaws at this stage? But I’m sure that any input whether it be technical, economical or logistical would be welcomed by any such open-minded cooperation. And what better than to bring it along to Coventry then eh?
I’ll bring along some dirty workware.

Jim, see my last post, re- Dyson’s washer being a “dead duck” (beat you to it! 😆 )
Martin, – your faith in the commercial development process is touching but sadly misplaced.
The number of design flaws in the stuff that engineers repair every day, points to inadequate testing………. under-specced stuff ” we omitted to derate component X for an inductive load”
“the switching transients proved too great for component Y to perform satisfactorily.”
” In certain circumstances the balljoint can fail ,leading to loss of control of the car…………….
Sadly, some R&D dept’s cannot/aren’t allowed to properly test and evaluate designs before they go into mass-production…..we have all seen the resultant National Press recall-notices, where there is a threat of personal injury.
I do not believe the” Reason” machine will be flawless from the get-go. Unless you know better, I doubt there are 10 or more pre-production machines out there ,being rigorously abused by normal users.
If the man’s built it on sound engineering practices, it may well be robust, but will it price itself out of the market place.
Not so long since, we had a long thread with a guy who was convinced that the ISE 10 was overpriced because he could buy (and junk) several crap machines for less money, over the respective warranty periods. He completely ignored the aggro , waiting for parts/service (and lost holiday days) and the “russian roulette” of “am i going to get my laundry completed today”…..all that, without the superior ,quieter performance of the quality machine.

How well the spirit of free enterprise and true British grit and determination survives to this day is a joy to behold. I’m sure Andrew is most encouraged by reading all this…….?

Well perhaps if he actually showed the machine to people in the flesh rather than some very dodgy looking videos that show snuff dry clothes going in and the same snuff dry clothes being lifted out. 😉
Also perhaps he or at least Naughty Boy could explain why he is posting from an ISP in Japan. :rolls:

ISP in Japan eh?……..Clearly Andrew is not just stuck in a shed in Pembrokeshire, but sussing out the hi tech Japan can offer….
Keep it coming guys…. 😀

Oh, that guy would be me then 😕
Or would it … What I actually said was a lot more detailed than just ‘ISE is overpriced’, and other mis-paraphrases…
I was expecting an intelligent debate on the pros and cons of paying out for a machine which was still relatively new, and I thought my comments would have been considered, rather than dismissed as ‘ a long thread ‘ !
…and despite having such few posts, I do still read the forum, and ( usually ) still find it intelligent and informative…

The person you are quoting is our good friend cockney steve, he is not a trade member but a well informed member of the public who on this forum is freely entitled to his opinion of your contribution, as you are to yours regarding the ISE 10. 😉

What’s going on here….? 😕

Er- sorry the thread is drifting a bit 😳 STEVIESPARKS….sorry, mate, yours was only a SLIGHT difference of viewpoint 😈 the one I recollected, went on for about four pages and the respondent was comparing the ISE10 with another machine of a different spec, out of the same factory….sort of comparing a base-model Fiesta with a top-range Ghia -spec.
Nothing new on the “Reason” website, though I had a smile at the laundry-basket hooked over the edge of the “drawer”
Mr. Reason’s laundry baskets obviously have a much stronger lip than those available locally
The video shows it bending with DRY “washed” clothes being unloadedWait ’till a few punters get a basket falling on their inquisitive toddler and we’ll see how that “feature2 flies….that’s if the drawer-runners stand it and the “sump” is, indeed heavy enough to balance the cantilevered load.
Sure, I’m critical!….As a potential customer, i’ve a right to be….if the guy wants to be taken seriously, he’d better not insult my intelligence .A true-life video would go a long way to achieving credibility.
Also , the UK-W. engineers have extended an invitation to him, to show the Trade…..he can ONLY benefit from such a meeting, but AFAIK, their collective knowledge, skill and experience is of no account to mr. Reason.
A certain Clive Sinclair once decided to develop a revoloutionary personal transportation device……how we chortled when the “mobile Lavvy” was introducad- complete with “straining -handle” under the squatter’s knees 😆
But what do we know? we’re just ordinary “joe-soaps”…not a patch on the intelligence and intellect of “Mr. Inventor”

I wonder if there were people out there as negative as this when ISE were trying to launch their machines? I wish Mr Reason all the very best, I think it could be a great turning point.

There were, yes and, still are.
Anyway Madrat, you’ve no chance of supporting Mr Reason with your budget restrictions and the fact it doesn’t have a Beko badge on it. 😉

😆 Very true but I think the draw drum is a briliant idea.

Participantand itll come and go, like all the other air brained idea
like the waterless washer
the sonic washer
not forgetting that stupid titan thingoh, and that ridiculously over rated, 12 second extrememly noisy controrotator of dysons
the perfect solutions there, people just dont do it
