Will try the Whirlpool site. Can’t justify the expense on the others just yet.
Although might think about TDS.

How do you get round this?
Bugger the test cycles, that also takes and wastes time. It’s far better to call your customer in to see it spinning before you make the bill out 😉

If it’s spinning, then you’ve already been there 15 minutes!
What do the 10mins/job 10 jobs a day guys do?

I just had a charming customer on the phone 🙁
She ask if I covered her area (Bacup), I said no, she told me to f*** off then, and hung up on me 🙁
It’s a good job that she withheld her phone number! 👿 It’s not like I don’t deserve it, but it made me wonder if she talks like that to every workman she tries to hire? Stupid mare!
Do you cover that area, Iadom? Look out for her, Bosch, won’t empty, in Wier.

No, just a bit to far, Whitworth is the extent of my travels up that way. Getting through Rochdale from this end can be a real pain, normally do calls up there very early if possible.

People that can’t speak the Queens english that phone me late at night asking…
“You fix my wash machina now?” or “No can it my door opening, you fix yes?” or “How much you call today?”
They all use mobile phones too, never land-lines I’ve noticed. One bloke rang on Sunday evening, I couldn’t understand a single word he said, he eventually hung up, then rang again, same thing, could’nt string a sentence together and only could say “please” clearly, then hung up. A while later he rang again and my wife picked up the phone as I refused to answer it. She must have a knack of translating urdu as I heard her say “My husband will call in the morning Mr Sundawanga!”
I called on Monday morning right enough, house full of kids, no adult around – I left an ‘Customer Out Card’…..bl**dy foreigners 🙄

My Father used to be an ambulance driver in Birmingham. They would get a 999 call in Handsworth or Alum Rock. Arrive with the sirens going, only to find a house full, and not one person who could speak English.
On one occasion they had to get the kiddie out of school just to find out which member of the family needed attention. Then all it was they needed a “taxi” to Heartlands Hospital for an MRI scan, and as the patient was reluctantly loaded into the ambulance, 4 cars full or relatives followed. They couldn’t refuse to take her, just in case there was something missing in the translation.
Oh to be in England now that April is here!

Bacup its in the Bermuda Triangle isnt it. I go as far as the Todmorden/Bacup border-the maggot farm. Never been tempted to descend into Bacup its deepest Lancashire down there and dragons live there dont they? (above lady sounds like one).

Indeed! Not that I’m generalising… but everyone around there is completely nuts, detached from reality, and is a drug dealer/user. 😕
I’ll stay this side of Burnley, thank you, where the normal people live.

Another problem I have in my patch is ‘Travellers Campsites”. Now the local councils have accepted these communities now apparently with open arms, but not me 👿
I’ve had one nasty experience when trying to get money off these sorts in the past:- Big posh caravan with integrated Neff appliances and a Merc 4 by 4 parked outside. Replaced the pump on the Neff then asked for my money..the ensuing arguments and being surrounded by 10 gipsies that came out of nowhere persuaded me to get the hell out of there!
That was about 5 years ago and the trouble I have now is when they call and ask “..if I cover the west Berkshire area?” naturally I reply yes! and accept the job and then ask for their address only to find they live on ‘the Campsite”……??? That then involves me back-peddling somewhat in order to make my excuses as to why I won’t be able to fix that appliance after all, sorry…. 😕
P.S. Do you recall about 5 years back a plane-load of drunken Gipsies forced a plane to land in New Jersey and were arrested and sent back home???….That lot live in my patch….. 🙄

Was is it with WD40?
Why do customers think that spraying everywhere with WD40 will cure all?
The only thing wrong with the machine was worn brushes… until the dreaded WD40 came out. The customer squirted it everywhere… timer, motor, fill valves, door lock, bearings, suspension… you name it, it’s dripping in it!!!
