just started into this amazing line of employment. got a call from wrexham, down the raod from me. we need a quote to fix w/m. ok. got there, she’s not in, pregnat “girl” with babe on arm lets me in. through “lounge” pass another “girl” with babe…domestic crisis no w/m. old but sound hotpoint…no interlock, no screws..ask..seen the screws for this? girl finds them..interlock dangling inside w/m. fit it..machine fine! water in, drains, spins etc etc..told girl..oh she says mum will be pleased.
how much…£30 says i. ask your mum to call me. later on mum calls, thankyou, send the invoice. duly done…10days…no cheque…rang at many and varios times…answering machine…finally man answers..haven’t got invoice…i see the future!!!! sent another one…10 days no joy…then i get a scrappy bit of paper…Dear Mr. repairman, we are not going to pay your invoice because we did not give you our permission to repair the machine! me…speechless AND £30 DOWN.Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
additional annoyances
demented dogs who bark non stop and owner who has no control over it/them
kids who ask all the questions..what you doing mister, etc etc
kids who knick your tools
widowers who look over your shoulder and say how do you know where all those wires go?
customers who put the kettle on and don’t offer you a drink
customers who say i won’t be able to pay you until…..friday, monday any bl…..dy day
customers who say ..i’ll have to go to the cash machine.
telephone enquiries and they are at work or out of the house and don’t know what make their appliance is.
letting gents who haven’t a clue what appliances are in the properties they are suppose to manage
ther are more but i’ll let more of you contribute

now i’m in the mood.
when you arrive at the house and customer says, my husbands had a go at it, or my brother, son, mate, partner knows a bit about these thing and he’s started to fix it……run for your life or your van….Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?

steve…the job in wrexham was about 7years ago, i’ve been in the madhouse for a while….the pills aren’t working and i’ve had 9pionts on my licence thanks to the chief constable of n. wales and his crusade against all drives in the area..so i feel much better now.

It started on monday..
Tina came into office after getting coffee from cafe across the road.(no dont posses a kettle in office).
Tells me they want me to have a look at there fryer..Soo eventually i go over wednesday.(takes a long time to cross the road see).
Asks”have you checked the fuses” yep came the reply..And then pointed to what looked llike a mini fuse holder on the top ad yep again came the reply.
I uncrew the cover an press the reset button and refit the cover and then say..”thats it working”.pointed out to him he should let cool down before changing oil and left laughing.
His missus wqas in fits later saying that picked the manual up later and read that the reset button was there and wont live it down.

Just making out the invoice this morning (like you do) and the young lady asks…… “Who shall I make it payable to? Only my sister left a cheque for you, for me to fill out!” ……… :rolls:
As I’m not too chuffed about taking cheques these days, and being as the owner of the cheque was the daughter of an associate of mine (a local spark in fact) I’m willing to let it go on this occasion. 😕
So anyway, I tell her to make it out to my company name and the usual cr&p follows…. “How do you spell it?” …………..Big mistake by me follows…..I then tell her how to spell it…………she makes a total b$lls-up of the cheque, crossing out her spelling mistakes etc etc…. 🙁
Why the hell I didn’t tell her to let me write out the cheque I will never know? :rolls: But on the other hand why would her sister allow her dyslexic sister even think of writing out a cheque in the first place? Especially after she admitted, after the event, that she was dyslexic….too late by then lady!!!!! 👿
“Sorry about that, would it be OK if my sister pops another cheque to you in the post?….Does she know your address”?

isnt it amazing how many people hand the cq over to you after they ask how much , and you jokingly say…
oh just leave it blank and i,ll fill it in…
im completely staggered at the amount of people who start to hand over the cq, and then how quickly they come to their senses when i say i was only joking.

Customer rings me on my mobile this morning asking: “what time do you think you will get here, only I need to go to the supermarket and run a few other errands?”
I tell her that as look would have it I’m actually on my way to her right now! 😀
“Oh good, she says, I’d put the kettle on for you, only we haven’t had any power since Sunday!”:bang:

They don’t build them to last these days , I mean you can’t even stick a leaking dishwasher on top of a washing machine without it blowing up :rolls: 😆
