Hi all, i’m new to the trade forum 🙂 . When i get a customer phoning me and i tell her i’ll call at 2pm and she replies ” well i have to go somewhere at 1.30pm and won’t be back all evening so can you make it earlier?”
So i then bust my balls and get there fo about 1pm. Turns out a big job and i’m still there at 2pm and there is absolutely no sign of her even getting ready to go anywhere, she had no intentions of going anywhere at 1.30pm 😡 . They say this to get you there as quick as they can.. I have encountered this a few times.
Another one is ” i can’t find my cheque book and i’ll post it to you” which of course never arrives and months later they have the neck to phone you again for another repair.
Another customer would give me this sob story why he couldnt pay me and listing all his problems (wonder if he would be interested hearing mine?)and of course has caught me out a few times that he would post the money which i never got.
I got revenge though as they called me out for a another problem with their washing machine and when i got there it was a very simple cheap fix but i told them the machine was beyond repair so they had to go shopping out for a new machine 😈Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?

People who smoke in the kitchen whilst your fixing the machine eh? :rolls:
11 years on and off I’ve been going to fix either the dishwasher or the washing machine. Very nice lady, smoked like a trooper and the house stunk of it big time. Not a nice place to visit, hated going in fact. Brown net curtains and the ceiling artex with brown stalagtite type drips hanging down….yuk! 😥
Went again there today….washing machine not spinning. First time I ever saw Mr Sexton….”Where’s the missus I ask?”

She made it to 47 before lung cancer (or Lobar pneumonia as it is usually shown on the death certificate) took her from us 😥
She’s left a husband, 3 children and 2 grandaughters. The husband never smoked, the house no longer stinks of tobacco and tar. It’s been redecorated, no doubt from the proceeeds of the will….maybe?

go to a job, find that a part is needed…which is either out of stock or special order…agree price, agree 7 to 10 working days…i say i’ll ring when is in… item come in, i ring…they say “we’ve bought a new one”…

Ring them in the morning with a rough eta eg. 12-2 then ring again when on the way and say “I’ll be with you in about 15 minutes” then when you arrive they say “I cancelled this call yesterday didn’t the office tell you?” no they did not and neither did you, either times I called you.
Never mind southam isn’t that from wolverhampton only 90minutes away. !!! have a nice day 👿

When a customer calls in on a Monday and the office book them in for Wed/Thurs and they give us grief because we cant go sooner….. The worst question in the world they always ask……
“What do you expect me to do without a dishwasher”?!! 👿

“Well that’s terrible, don’t know why I bother with Insurance…. Just what do I pay my £5 a month for”?!!!!! 👿It’s sometimes quite hard to remain professional!!!

Customer phones in and we offer either next day, or the day after. Then they expect an after 4 call, or cannot possibly do the days we offer. We trawl through the scheduler and find a mutually agreed date. They moan that we cannot do sooner but accept the day given, and then go off to the retailer/insurer complaining they have to wait nearly a week.
When the retailer/insurer calls us, we hear the silence at the other end when they learn the real facts behind the case.

I know you should’nt do this in business but,,
Customer rings up for a Washer repair, we offer next day PM sorry she says thats no good as I am going away until next week 😕 So OK we offer her Tues PM next week and she is happy . She rings up Tues morning and says sorry she is not available PM could we go AM 👿
Sorry we say we have planned the route for that day and we could not possibly go AM. Ok she says when can you come? the next avilable was Thurs PM. Thats OK she says WHAT time? ,it will be after 12 PM we reply, no she says WHAT time will you be here as I have a very busy schedule, sorry we can’t give a precise time, why she says?
At this stage my secretary has had enough and passes me the phone.I understand that you wan’t a precise time? so I read out the calls that I have to do before I get to her house and ask her if she can advise me when I will get to her house 8)
She then says that I should give her preferential treatment as she has had to wait for over a week for us to call! 👿
Sorry I said, I know how we can both resolve this problem PLEASE go somewhere else as it it is obvious that we cannot help you and give them the grief, I do not need customers like you , goodbye 😀

Customer called at our workshop today to purchase a brush roll for a dyson,as he felt his had worn.On leaving he asks if he could bring it back should he find it is not the brush roll :rotl:

We delivered a gas cooker this morning, the Corgi engineer installs it this afternoon and finds that Leisure have supplied the wrong pan supports. So to get the customer up and running quickly I give them a set of the correct supports from a brand new Leisure cooker I have on display.
I will get Leisure to replace these says I. Customer then says ” so you will give us a ring when the new ones come in then” :rolls:

There are some right nutters out there, :rolls: this is the second one in recent times
Customer rings up and asks if we can attend a washer, then he advises that it is in one of his property’s and his tenant has told him that it is faulty. but he says he is not so sure, he then goes on to say “if there is nothing wrong with the machine I don’t want to pay you 😕 also I want to be there when you look at it so you don’t pull the wool over my eyes :rotl:
I advised him that firstly, he was talking out of his *rse, secondly I was not a sheep and lastly, I did not have “mug” tatood on my forehead 😉
You just can’t believe some people.
