Sometimes you have to question the intelligence of people – last week went round to buy a s/h “bosch of the highest german quality” – sounded good as it was only 6 months old and they wanted £150 for it – bargain till we saw it in the flesh. They were either good actors or totally oblivious, cos they looked quite gutted when we explained it definitely wasnt teutonic and theyd stuggle to get £100 for it.

Yesterday I tried to explain to a plumber that the extension on the waste pipe of the new intergrated D/w was too long and when you disconnected the extension and tested and the appliance emptied ok, that the reason the appliance fails too drain with extension is due to the extension, so why did you still believe the fault is with the appliance, you muppet !!!!!!!!
Mrs M you now need to pay the call out of £80.00 to the company as there is not a fault.
Yeah, but my plumber said its the m/c. Yep but its your appliance and you rung us, you’ll need to claim the money from the plumber.
He argued so I showed him the yellow sticker still on the end of the waste pipe warning of the max length and also the instructions showing a drawing of the limitations.
RTFM, Read The F888in Manual. :rolls:
Then it was off to an induction hob that was getting the glass warm on the left corner without being used.
The installation again was wrong, manual requires a 150mm gap between the vented base and the upright of an adjacent cupboard.
Guess what the vented base did not have a gap and the indiots installed a fridge next to it, so they cannot move the hob over, looks like the whole one side will need to be re designed or the hob will need to be replaced with a conventional cheap one.
OOppps.
RTFM again. :rolls:

i went to a intergrated zanussi wd the other day, as i arrived was told the husband had got it out for me, bonus i thought!! he had then moved it abot 8ft across the kitchen 😯 so i had to drag it back and refit it which was a right sod to do 👿 the repair ended up being a blocked filter :bang: told him to leave it to me next time.

I know this has probably been said before but..
get home and message on the ansaphone and when you ring them they say “Oh, I got someone else when you didn’t ring me back in 10 minutes” despite my mobile no on the message. Maybe I should get calls transferred to my mobile. Just going to check.April 27, 2010 at 4:54 pm #107748Martin

Complaint: Bosch Tumble Dryer not heating…….I call and try to lift the lint filter out of the door and it’s jammed solid with fluff, TOC has popped in consequence. I question customer as to when she last cleaned the filter?….her reply was priceless…………..
…”well we only moved into this house last July (2009) so it must be down to the previous owners? Personally I have never checked or cleaned it simply because we have a Bosch dryer exactly like that in our property in Spain and we don’t need to clean that filter either!”April 27, 2010 at 6:29 pm #107749Madmac
ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
It fair makes me smile when they carefully remove the ‘sheet’ of compacted lint thinking its part of the machine, set it aside, clean out any stray bits of fluff, then refit most of what should have come out 😕
Bless their cotton socks 🙂

As soon as i get the that type of customer on the blower i just tell them the callout & suggest they think about it & get back to me.. about 5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} actually do :rolls: I’ve long since lost patience with the type who can be ‘persuaded’ initially to have a repair done, then phone you to cancel at the 11th hour 👿
Afraid i’m not willing to grovel to anyone, no matter how empty the job book may be 🙁May 18, 2010 at 7:45 pm #107753timdowning

I hope I wasn’t trying to persuade her. I didn’t like the sound of her but she wouldn’t leave me alone.

had one today. Multi-function oven. Fault oven trips CU. Customer only ever used combined upper/lower element function. Fault diagnosed to base element at fault. Customer, I need an oven what am I going to do for till you get the part?? er..use the fan element. What’s that? Explain, quick demo of funtions, defrost/upper ele/lower etc etc. So is it any good this this fan oven function???
Arghhh, why did you spend so much money on multi-function oven??
Was funny watching their faces and that of the neighbours as I burnt off 5 years of grease off the fan element………. are you sure it’s not on fire??? no it’ll be fine love, just don’t let anyone call the fire brigade, even the dog eventually ran out of the house…

just to let off steam
4.45
C: “am i going to see someone at 5pm tonight?”
Me: “sorry, can you let me know who you are?” (*im not fricken psychic*)C: “you should know who i am, im the 5pm booking”
Me: “sorry madam, but i have 4 bookings for AFTER 5pm, 2x are deliverys and the other 2 are repairs, could i have your surname please”C: “oh for goodness sake what kind of a business are you to double book, no i mean quadruple book yourselves like that, can i speak to the owner please”
Me: Im afraid madam, I am the only person here, and all calls for after 5pm are booked as AFTER 5pm calls, and not time specific, due to possible delays during the rest of the day, so if you could let me know who you are I can give you a more accurate time of when we will be with you”C: “I booked a 5pm visit, i need to be out at 6pm, if i had known it would be this much trouble i would have got hotpoint out, if i do not see the engineer by half 5 i will get someone else out”
ME: So would i be right in thinking this is a hotpoint repair then, in which case I will just check with the engineer to see how long he will be, I will call you back in a few minutes.
C: Hmmph *hangs up*4.50
ME: calls engineer, hes just pulling into customers road4:52
ME: couldnt resist calling customer…
“Hi, Mrs*X*X*X*, ive just…”
*door bell goes*
C: “sorry i have to go, your vans here, just as well i was in as hes EARLY…” *hangs up*Im not normally quite so happy her machine is a BER.

Bosch integrated dishwasher complaint “Won’t work, check water LED flashes!”. Gets there and customer immediately apologises by saying “……sorry but it smells a bit as it’s been out of action for 2 weeks!”:rolls:
That was an extreme understatement, the tub was covered in greeny- grey slime and full of food debris to keep a saddlebacked pig busy for an hour or more! Floating baked beans, broken up crusty bread rolls, drinking straws and god knows what else. 😯
I just shut the door and refused to go any where near it!………. “Go call out someone else…..YOU DIRTY GIRL…I’m out of here!”

Had similar about 5 years back. Blocked DW pump, a week later customer goes on holiday, comes back books a call for 10 days later. All in the middle of the summer. When I got there I refused to do but my boss threatened to sack me. Had to got back later in the day – took my time though, left the door open and went to the car, mdade a few calls, did a bit of paper work, picked some bits up then went back in. Sorted it but the house stunk but so did I. It was like a think green vomit soup. Childish I know but there was no need for it. They could have emptied the dirty water out before they went on holiday. Sheer and uttle laziness.

Getting them all in the shop today :rolls: but this one takes the biscuit 😈 Bosch washer, inner and outer door frame required. Price about £48 for both as a spare parts sale.
If I bring the door in will you fit them for me? Yep no probs it`ll cost a fiver for fitting. WHAT no way. I`ll do it myself or I would but I don’t have any of the right screwdrivers it`s those funny star shaped ones, no probs I have some security sets for sale only a fiver and once you have it you always will. WHAT I`m not paying that!! Can I borrow your set to remove and fit? No way engineers do not loan tools end of.
Fiver for the security set? I certainly did 😛Don
