getting my fair share of them this week as well funny how u go for weeks without seeing them then they all turn up in one week (we term it w**ker week at our place 😆 ) today s offering started yesterday went to an integ auto that required a new outer door rim no name on the front just a number wm602 suspecting it to be a homark i tell i will contact today with price and availbilty all ok so far, put a parts enquiry in this morning customer rings at 9 .30 today and is miffed that i havent got price yet . I explain that i will ring as soon as it returns . Parts enquiry comes back at 2pm (expensive £38 +vat) ring with total cost customer tells me the price is extortionate ,i explain that the part is expensive ,she then says well i need it doing asap can you fit it today :rolls: no i explain i would have to order it ,before i finish the sentance i am met with “oh forget it i need it doing straight away i cant do without my washer “and the phone is slammed down :rolls: yep its w**ker week 😆

If you don’t mind I think I’ll use your ‘term.’
I normally call them time wasters but after the week I’m having using your ‘term’ will make me feel alot better! 🙂

I’m having a w88ker week with part suppliers and pricing.
Tecnik W/D door boot, prices range from the expensive to stupid, E Spares retail price managed to beat a well known parts supplier by £20.
Luckily turns out the Baumatic is the same model and instead of the £48 for the Tecnik, the Baumatic is only £17.00
Or
The diplomat F/F PCB, well known parts supplier quotes £89.00, smaller supplier one quotes £41.00.
Or
The Diplomat F/F fan motor, well known suppliers, all of them basically, price the motor at £20 (the least difference) more expensive than retail on E-spares.
Seems the saving justifies the hour searching for parts, thanks to WAN8er Suppliers Week.

I’m an annoying customer to the suppliers.
We all are at some point in time, there are always reasons behind the acts people do.

Missed call due to mobile having no signal.
Customer leaves message to ring in regards to his Zanussi washing machine.
I call 20 minutes later, to be told ‘ I’ve got someone else now mate!’
WHY DO THEY LEAVE A MESSAGE IF THEIR NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU CHANCE TO GET BACK TO THEM?

same day call out..there in 14 mins from her call …..needs a front panel on a zanuzzi and she gets the hump because i dont have the part!!!….’ oh i did tell your girl on the phone what was wrong’….
yeah love, i diagonosed the fault, drove to distripart from south london got the part, hacked down the motorway back to wimbledon in 14 mins… !
honestly….how do these people get through lifes expectations!…
why is it, we are meant to carry a complete part list of 25 years of zanuzzi in small van!…esp when she rang and got a call that quick….idiots the lot of them……. still, i did her for £76 call out whilkst she waits 3 days for part…last laugh and all that!

How about expecting a free under manufacturers warranty call without any proof of purchase whatsoever. Then, they say they will pay me but later say they have no method of payment & just expect me to wait around watching the minutes whizz by whilst they try & fail to contact their landlord like I have nothing else to do except for the other 9 calls I have booked for that day.

Complete t#@@er yesterday.
Spent ages draining his slimline AEG integrated doshwisher, then had to get it out to change the drain pump. Broken glass everywhere. Let him know the cause (ie glass and pump now red hot and noisy), and he seemed quite surprised about the glass in it.
Got the pump in (tiny galley kitchen 👿 ) and when testing it initially found a leak. Pump out, check seal hasn’t moved, back in leak just a drip now. Thought I’d give it a function test and deal with the drip later.
Water gets into the sump and floods everywhere. 😈
Looked inside, removed the filter and the sump and lower arm mounting screws are missing.
‘Have you removed some screws’
‘yeah….I think I did’ and he suddenly remembers glass everywhere that he tried to remove.
‘Have you still got the screws?’
‘Err…no probably not’
And the fault report……stopped mid wash and now won’t start.
No screws available from Zanussi, but luckily my call out cheque will have cleared by the rebooked date.
He asked me while I was knent down with my teeth clenched..
‘What do you reccomend now?’
The urge to say don’t f**k about with stuff you don’t have the first idea about, was overwhelming 👿TC

im sat here alone in the office, its now just shy of 12.00am .. the phone rings…
i say “hello Apple Electrics”
man says “oh i didnt expect anyone to be there at this time of night”
my reply as im tired “if you didnt expect anyone to answer why did you bother phoneing?”he puts phone down….
its midnight and im so tempted to do 1471 and phone the twat back ..

Yeah I know how you feel there Simon, I get pretty abrasive toward anyone that phones me after 9pm never mind midnight. Bl**dy hell what are these people like that are even thinking about getting something fixed at that time of night. :rolls:
Mind you, did I ever tell of the time my phone rang at stupid o’clock 01:30 ish, Thursday morning, 10/8/1995 in fact. Scottish fella, strong accent, hard to comprehend, just moved down from Glasgow or some such place and the washing machine had broken down. He apologised profusely for getting me out of bed and promised to phone back again later at a more reasonable hour. Which he did, I went round that same day and sorted his m/c out OK. He and his wife have been one of my best customers over the years and I’ve fixed several of his machines and the current tally is 31 visits, 31 chargeable calls.
If the phone rings any time after 9 pm these days then my missus always takes the call. She’s much more passive and tolerate to the ‘late night loonies’ whereas I tend to take ‘an appleelectrics approach’….. 😈

my approach was mainly bought on by the fact that im in tired and in pain… i have signed up to climb snowdon for charity and the training started on Tuesday so was feeling it a bit last night..
