Built in Neff washer,2 years old in rented house,not emptying.
Arrived to find machine with wooden off and the bck of machine off, full of wet towels but the complete sump hose assembly along with the filter was on the work top.
Carpeted and water stain about 4ft out from machine,pulled it out and thought I’ll put the sump hose back first,took towels out tipped it over,base held on by 2 screws only.
The pcb on this model normally clips behind the front plinth area,but it was dangling by the wires and water dripping from the casing,motor was soaking,the clever a$$e who said it only needs a new pump had done all the dismantling and then let the wet towels drip through the sump hole straight onto the pcb and motor.
Left the house saying I’d have to contact letting agents.
£600 ish machine,brainless over weight irk, no doubt on benefits with house full of kids and chelsea tractor , will no doubt squeal to the social for help.Re: Whats the most annoying thing customers do?
If someone else says “I think it’s the BUSHES” or”my neighbour thinks it’s the BUSHES” I’ll bloody strangle them. 😈 :rolls: 😆

Had a call today where the timer was faulty. Customer said her husband would be pleased because he thought it was the timer. (A pat on the back for him.)
Funny thing is, when she booked the call, she said her husband thought it could be the motor, timer or the pressure switch.

Been round to repair a Hotpoint cooker hhod today in a tennanted property. Had to ring customer as he wasn’t at home when stated (same as the initial call to diagnose). He turned up ten minutes later, got in the property and someone was home just not answering the door 👿 . Then gets to the hood, the housesitter has the oven on at 200 and the hob on. If it wasn’t for the fact that its a £177 job and I’d waited while the tennant got back in the country (four weeks after getting the special order board) I’d have told him to shove it.
Took twenty minutes of me complaining about the heat for him to switch the oven off, and took another 40 minutes to put in the modified board 😈 .Not even an apology when I left. A complete merchant banker. 👿

Customer: “You came and fixed my Bosch dishwasher a week ago and it’s working fine now but today we found a piece of plastic on the floor mid-way between the kitchen door and the machine. I was wondering if it came off the machine somewhere? Perhaps you could call back and see if it is a part that’s come off from the machine?”

Went out to an ‘intermittent’ fault on a Hotpoint WF yesterday. Mini load light comes on at the end of the wash.
Tested perfect
‘How often has it happened’ me.
‘Twice now’ customer.
‘Last two washes?’ me.
‘Yesterday and last June (2009)’ :rolls: customer.

Me: (Well that gives you the inalienable right to claim my services for the rest of my life, surely.) “Uh-huh?”
Her: (Gives a surname).
Me: (Oh yeah, like I remember everybody’s name from the last ten years.) “Uh-huhh”
Her: “I’ve got a leak. (:?: 8O)
……………………. It’s the rubber thing round the door.”
Me: (Ah, now we’re getting somewhere.) “What make and model is it?” (Take phone with me to teapot.)
Her: “I’ll get ‘im to go an’ ‘ave a look” (Grunts heard in background.)
Im: (distant) “Eco-care”.
Her: (I wait with my ear at least 6 inches from the phone) “ECO-CARE”
Me: “Hmmm”
Her: “Bekko”
Me: “Ah-hah!… Model no.?” (Pouring second cup.)
Her: “That is the model no. what I just gave you.”

Yep….why is it so fr***In difficult to find a model number even when you tell them where to look.
Had a customer of mine texting me about his mums model number last week. He texted ‘its a Hoover 300 quattro’
I text back ‘It may be a AS130 have a look on the facia’
Him (gettin’ stroppy) The 300 is the model number as per previous text’
Guess what model number it was when I got there. 😉TC

Client today asked if I needed to use a torch, some how he didn’t notice the head torch, which was on at the time. 💡
Funny one also today, house being renovated by himself, a builder, new black tiled floor, highly polished floor, he was very very proud and nervous of any object touching it, asked if I would remove my shoes, nope I replied I’m not removing my shoes, so he gets a big sheet of sometype of insulation foam type cover, places it all over the floor, appliance is intergrated, with LED’s on the kickboard.
So I told him sorry mate, I’m not prepared to work on your floor, keep the call out charge, I’m off.
So I left, learn’t how to read people and even if I wanted to spend all AM moving his appliance around with the upmost care and attention, he’d be on his knee’s afterwards and the slightest scratch, mark anything, he’d be after all sorts of hassle, no that one is best left alone.
What a pr**k.
My favorite is the middle aged garden shed hangerounder, has a tool for everything and a knowlwdge far beyond that of any Scientific brain, the type that will spend several hours working out how to solve a simple problem.
