Its an induction motor so no brushes, the drain pump does cycle on and off on some machines but the fan should run constantly, perhaps your wiring connections need checking again or possibly the fan motor overload ( if it has one that is ) is cutting out.

    hi quickwash.

i dont suppose anyone out there would happen to have a spare second hand blower motor that would fit this machine by any chance that i could buy from them if at all possible by any chance? 🙂

is this motor driven directly by 240 v or is it stepped down?
just wondered so i can test it.
another weird thing is when you take the washer top cover off, directly above where the dryer blower fan is there is a round patch of black dust. i think this is what led me to think it was a comutator type motor and the dust was from the carbon brushes. but as this is an induction motor where would this black dust come from? 😕

240v induction motor. Black dust?…..not a scooby doo….muck maybe? The fan should run constantly through the entire drying process by the way. Most fail due to worn, dry and overheated bearings, so perhaps a squirt of oil wouldn’t go amiss? 😀
