    it will be the pcb, you could have a look for a blown triac on the board to be certain but id be fairly confident, hoovers dont usually give fault codes when the boards at fault.

    yip usually is the condensing valve its part of either a double or triple cold valve.

    you will most likely find its a board fault, motors dont usually give the juddering symptom unless the brushes are struggling to make contact.

    i always keep a good motor in the van to stick in only takes a second to plug in and is easier to check than the board!!

    usually pcb tbh, im sure they end up stuck on the prewash cycle or something, changing pcb has cured a fair few for me, be careful tho there can be a few different part numbers for the pcbs.

    Just home really enjoyed couple of days, thanks to all who made this newbie very welcome. Met some really good people and hope to meet again soon.

    Only downside was the ideot on the m6 who decided to ram me on the way home and probably write off my car 🙁

    does it turn itself once you give it a push, then if it has a cap its cap every time.
