make sure the pipe at the back of the lower spray arm is correctly pressed down, the pipe runs up to the top spray arm it may look ok but if not pressed down properly is can cause the top arm not to turn or turn slowly.

e20 is the customer viewed error code for no drain

you need to access test program to find actuall error code eg e21,e22,e23,e24

    To enter diagnostics:

    1. Switch off the appliance.
    2. Press and hold down START/PAUSE and any one of the option buttons simultaneously.
    3. Holding down both buttons, switch the appliance on by turning the programme selector one position to
    the right (clockwise).
    4. Continue to hold down the START/PAUSE and option buttons until the LED begins to flash (at least 2
    seconds).

In the first selector position, the operation of the buttons and the relative LEDs is checked; turning the
selector knob clockwise activates the diagnostics cycle for the operation of the various components and
    displays any alarm conditions.

    Re: bosch washing machine

this is one of those faults, can be caused by motor, check carbons etc, however cann also be caused by spikes from mains supply, you could try resetting the board and see if it clears it,

if not you are looking at new module and or motor……..

    reset procedure

You have to enter the test programme – Set selector switch to the 6 o’clock position , hold the spin speed button , turn the selector switch one click clockwise and after a couple of seconds release the spin speed button. It may still show F21 but then switch off and switch back on and it should clear

Re: Smeg ADP 8242 E7 Error

you need to reset the pcb

    heres how

    Reset procedure for the PCB

With the door open, turn on the appliance and within three seconds push 4 times on the program selection button – The test program has been selected if the SOAK and STRONG LED’s are flashing
This LED combination represents the test program for the appliances that have a flow meter.

    on-off-off-off-on

If the above indication is not shown on the appliance, switch the appliance off and try the sequence again until the above LED’s are shown on display.
Now push on the program button once more to select the version ‘without flow meter’, check that the SOAK
LED goes out, and the display is indicated as below.

    off-off-off-off-on

Do not close the appliance door, to complete settings switch the appliance off.
Now switch the appliance ‘on’ and test on a SOAK program.

Fault Code bible courtesy of UKW, is most used item in tool box nowadays!!

laptop with 3g access to here is a backup 💡

as far as tools go a cordless screwdriver is a must nowadays, i use a metabo one bit bulky but battery lasts about a week.

ratchet spanners and headtorches are a godsend as well!!

5 55° Time-out Pressure switch on empty (end of drain)

At the end of each drain phase, the
pressure switch is checked to ensure that
it is in the “empty” position (1 – 2).

    – If at the end of the drain phase the
pressure switch is found to be in the “full”
position (1 – 3), the appliance goes to the
    alarm condition

make of that what you will

    F09 The door doesn’t lock.

    1. Verify that the temperature within the oven is less
than 200°C after a Fast Clean (follow procedure ‘A’).

    2. After having opened the door by breaking the
blockage fixed on the counter door, substitute the
    locking mechanism.

    3. Substitute the electronic board (first the display one
then the power one if the fault persists) re-using the
    previous locking mechanism

e9 on a vhd machine is usually a board fault(motor triac), also need to check motor and wiring.
